The 40 Days of Elul (Day 29): Feast of Trumpets Eve: A Feast Fit For A King - The Feast of Trumpets9/25/2022 Good Morning Sunday Feast of Trumpets Eve!...
Father thank You for this NEW coming Holy Day this evening. Please continue to fill our HEARTS & MINDS with Your LOVE & TRUTH, and TRANSFORM our ordinary day into an extraordinary day. SHINE YOUR LIGHT in us, THROUGH us, and over us. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s name, we pray and ask, May we make a difference in this world, for Your Glory and Purposes TODAY! Good morning Brothers and Sisters. This evening we begin the celebration of The Feast of Trumpets! Very exciting! The King Is In The Field! This means that starting this evening we will enter not just a day of rejoicing and shofar blowing, but we will also enter into “The 10 Days of Awe.” These are the 10 days in between The Feast of Trumpets and The Day of Atonement, The Biblical Holiest Day of the year. During this time we reflect on our year, and lives, drawing closer to Our Father in Heaven. Traditionally, many fill these 10 days with fasting, prayer, good deeds, and most importantly drawing close to God. When we do this, something amazing happens, and I think it is no better expressed than in a little saying a very dear Brother In Yeshua, Jesus Christ, gave to me. It goes like this: There is only one thing better than drawing close to God? What is that?! God drawing close to you. :-) May we all fill our thoughts with Our King, Our Creator, and our Life Sustaining, Merciful God as we look to the sky this evening in eager expectation of the day Our King Returns! May we blow our Shofars (Trumpets) loud for The King, AND as a “watchman warning” to this world to repent from the fallen ways and rebellious spirit that seems to be everywhere in these times. As we celebrate this evening and head towards the high holiest day of the year may we all be “on watch”… for The King May arrive this evening as the shofars sound. It is a rehearsal for announcing The King! With that said it is important to understand… one day rehearsals will be over… and the Live Event will take place. Look Up Everyone! For our Redemption Draws Close and The King Is Coming! Have an amazing Feast of Trumpets my Brothers and Sisters and May God Bless each and everyone of you on the other side of this screen ... MIGHTILY! - The 40 Days of Elul (Day 29) The Feast of Trumpets Eve: A Feast Fit For A King - The Feast of Trumpets The Feast of Trumpets is among the Festivals of God Our Father listed in Leviticus 23. It is important for us to understand that, according to Scripture, it is all about announcing The Coming of The King. It is the prophesied time when Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our King, will return. The Hebrew word "Feast" is more accurately translated as "Rehearsal." That seems pretty significant! For one day… “The Rehearsal” will be over and This Holy Festival Will Be Fulfilled! Let's read Our Father Instruction for this Holy Day directly from His Word: “Then the Lord (YHWH, Yahweh) spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh).” Leviticus 23:23-25 When Yeshua (Jesus) came into the world (in the flesh), He kept the Feast of Trumpets along with the other people of Hebrew descent. After the death and resurrection of Jesus, the first-century Church continued in keeping it along with the other six Festivals mentioned in Leviticus 23. The Feast of Trumpets teaches great lessons. If we try to understand its significant meaning, The Feast of Trumpets helps us understand the plan of Our Father for all mankind. Today let's take a look at some important things and try to gain some perspective about Our Father's timing and what He is trying to show us in His Feast, or Rehearsal, of Trumpets, also known as Yom Teruah (Day of Shouts). Since this evening will begin The Feast of Trumpets, let's take a look.: 1.) The Feast of Trumpets Is About God’s Time The Feast of Trumpets represents the time when God will directly intervene in human affairs. It represents the time when Christ will return here on earth, not just as a Kind, Patient, Loving, Miracle Working Servant, but a Conquering King. Our Sacrificial Lamb Will Return As A Lion. That's exciting for us believers! Let's take a look in Revelation: Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our LORD and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” 🔥🙌 Revelation 11:15 2.) The Feast of Trumpets Is About The Hope of The Coming Kingdom of God We live in a fast paced, fallen, and depressing world compared to the amazing things Our Father and Yeshua, Jesus, have in store for us. The enemy and accuser is currently the ruler of this world (II Corinthians 4:4). When all hopes seem to fade Christ Jesus will make a spectacular entrance. Of all the prophecies made in The Bible, perhaps the coming of Jesus for the second time, is the most exciting. It will be the climax in the history of mankind. 3.) The Feast of Trumpets Serves As A Warning In the time of the ancient Israelites, the trumpet was used to sound a warning. Let's take a look at Numbers: “When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets.” Numbers 10:9 With The Feast of Trumpets, we are reminded that there will come a time when Our Savior, Yeshua Jesus Christ will return. It means that we must live our lives according to God’s will and purpose. Why? Because we know that we all will answer accordingly for our lives in The Presence of God Our Father and Yeshua Jesus Christ. We can’t simply live a life of no accountability. We have A Higher Power, God Our Father. As believers, this can give us a sense of urgency that is prudent for our lives. One day we will all stand before the Judgement Throne of God Almighty and give an account of our lives. The Feast of Trumpets serves as a call for us to stop living our way and begin living Our Father's Way, Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our King’s Way. 4.) The Feast of Trumpets Is About Rejoicing One reason trumpets were used in the ancient Israel was to serve as a festive sound. We read in God's Word: “Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets… and they shall be a memorial for you before your God.” Numbers 10:10 Also at the end of Chapter 8 in Nehemiah, they are celebrating Trumpets. Let's see what God Uses His Prophet To Tell Us: “Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of The Lord (YHWH, Yahweh) is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 While the events preceding the coming of Our King may be scary, The Feast of Trumpets is a day where we rejoice in Our King. We can be sure of The Hope that we have in Our Savior. As the world hears the seventh trumpet, all the followers of Our Father God will rejoice. We can know Our King Yeshua, Jesus, is coming and He won’t delay His return anymore! From there, He will finally establish God’s Kingdom that will bring Peace, Blessings, and Prosperity to the world. Oh, imagine how Wonderful Life will be then! 5.) Christ Brings A Reward “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” I Corinthians 15:52 In the end, when the loud sound of the seventh trumpet is heard, the dead in Christ will rise! Resurrection and Eternal Life Will Ensue! From there, they will meet the Our King and Savior in the air and will commence the establishment of God Our Father's Kingdom here on earth! The Feast of Trumpets points to the very hope of mankind. This world may not end through apocalyptic nuclear warfare or catastrophic natural calamities as some people predict. Let's take a look at the words of Our Savior: Jesus Christ, Himself said: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” Matthew 24:21-22 Before man destroys himself, Our King and Savior Yeshua, Jesus Christ will intervene. At the sound of the last trumpet, everyone will know that there is a God In Heaven Who Is Ultimately In Control. He is The Supreme, Almighty God Who Created Everything and at the same time, the God who we call Our Father. Remember that the first century Church used the Old Testament as their basis for doctrine (II Timothy 3:16). So as we ponder The Mysteries of God Our Father today and His Feast of Trumpets, may we all gain insight, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, discernment, and Truth. I know this is a huge topic and in no way could someone fit all of Our Father's Teachings into a single devotion. We have numerous passages that show us Our Father's meanings in His Festivals (Rehearsals) and I encourage anyone who is looking for deeper meaning to study God's Word about His Holy Days and let Him reveal His wonderful messages to you. Let us end with the words of The Master, in whom we blow our real and spiritual trumpets when we give witness to Him, Our King and Our Savior: “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” Luke 21:28 Happy Feast of Trumpets this evening everyone and an early Shabbat Shalom! Sound the trumpets you servants of God… The King Is Coming! Extra Scripture for Elul: “I am my Beloved’s, and my Beloved is mine. He feeds His Flock among the lilies.” Song of Solomon 6:3
