Good Morning Thursday...
Father thank You for this new day. As You Walk with us today, please keep us focused on YOUR TRUTH. Please continue to fill OUR HEARTS & MINDS with YOUR PEACE and straighten the paths before us. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's Glorious Name. Amen. - To Show Us His Love, God Our Father Came Down To Us. GOD OUR FATHER came down to us and submitted Himself to the cruelty of our fallen world. Why? So we could be certain that HE EXISTS. To let us know HE IS REAL. To give us assurance of our Salvation (Yeshua in Hebrew). To show us how much HE LOVES US. For a little over 3 decades HE allowed His Son, who IS ONE with Him, A Boundless Being, to be bound. HE WHO IS LIMITLESS allowed A Piece Of Himself to be limited. HE HAS ALL POWER, but chose to show us how much HE LOVES US by not using His Power for Himself and only for others, for us. His Dustless Feet were covered with dust and His Radiant Face was dimmed for a moment, so we could LOOK UPON HIM. Do you think YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST OUR KING, was ever tempted to use His Power out of frustration? When He Was Cold, In The Rain, Or Hot Under The Blistering Sun, do you think He ever was tempted to make the weather change for Himself? We know the enemy tempted Him in the desert, but do you think there were other times? Regardless of whether He was tempted to or not, He NEVER GAVE INTO TEMPTATION... never. Not on one single occasion did OUR SAVIOR AND KING use HIS POWER to BRING personal COMFORT to Himself. Not once did He act in selfishness. Not once did He act IN any manner that opposed OUR FATHER, GOD ALMIGHTY. AT HIS VERY WORD OUR SAVIOR could have made things much easier for Himself. At His very word He could have had every accuser of His ignite into flames. At His very word He could have plucked out the eyes of the soldier that wove a crown of thorns for Him. He didn't. Why? Because He didn't want it easy, He didn't want to hurt His accusers, He didn't want to hurt His executioners, and most of all, He doesn't want to hurt us, His children. He WANTS TO SHOW US LOVE, and Show Us Love He Did. HIS LOVE IS TRUE, WHOLE, ETERNAL, AND SELFLESS. May we all BASK IN THE GLORY OF GOD OUR FATHER AND SAVIOR TODAY AND EVERYDAY FOREVERMORE. Praise Be To God Our Father and His Son Forever and Ever. Amen! (Did you see the “Hidden Message?” Go back and read the words in ALL CAPS. Do the same with The Word in ALL CAPS below.) THE LOVE OF GOD ALMIGHTY: “But GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US, IN that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us.” Romans 5:8 “But HE WAS WOUNDED for our transgressions, He was bruised FOR OUR INIQUITIES; The chastisement FOR OUR PEACE was upon Him, And BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.” Isaiah 53:5 “THEREFORE HUMBLE YOURSELVES under THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for HE CARES FOR YOU.” I Peter 5:6-7 “But GOD, WHO IS RICH IN MERCY, because of His Great Love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, MADE US ALIVE together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit TOGETHER in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, THAT in the ages to come HE MIGHT SHOW THE EXCEEDING RICHES OF HIS GRACE in HIS KINDNESS toward us IN CHRIST JESUS.” Ephesians 2:4-7 “To GOD OUR SAVIOR, who ALONE IS WISE, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, BOTH NOW AND FOREVER. Amen.” Jude 1:25 “And THE WORD became flesh and DWELT AMONG US, AND we BEHELD HIS GLORY, the glory as of the only begotten of THE FATHER, full OF GRACE AND TRUTH.” John 1:14

Good Morning Wednesday...
Father thank You for this new day. Thank You for giving us Brothers and Sisters to share in this wonderful journey back to You. Please use us to help the hurting, the sick, the fatherless, and the weak. Help us to show Your Love in this dark world, because we know Love covers a multitude of sins. In Yeshua, Jesus Christ’s Name we pray. Amen. - Who Is God? Knowing Him. The question was proposed recently, "Who is God?" While this answer can be very short and simple, it can also be lengthy and deep. Today let's take a look in The Scriptures and see what Our Father’s Word has to say about just some of the Attributes of Him. Of course we know He Is Almighty, Always Faithful, The Most Compassionate, The Kindest, The Only Just, The Most Loving, and many more of The Best of The Best Attributes, but let's see how Our Father and His Word, Jesus Christ, Yeshua Our Savior, communicate these attributes. Before any one of us reading this devotion ever thought about the question "Who Is God?," Our Father had already supplied an answer in His Word of Truth for us. That should make all of us feel pretty special. Just think about this for a moment: God Our Father knew He would send you the verses you will read today since the beginning of time. He Has Been Thinking Of You For An Eternity... Literally. Feel special yet? I hope so, because you are. God Our Father Loves us with an endless Love. He came among us and died so we could know Him, and have Life. With that in mind, let us meditate on what He says today. Let's go to The Source Of All Good Things and His Word to answer the question: "Who Is God?": He Is Not Only A King, But He Is The King, The Only KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS: “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:1-2 “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:16 He Is A Healer, The Only One Who Can Heal Completely, He Is The Cure For Us All: “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” Matthew 4:23 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14 He Is Not Only A Father, But The One Father, He Who Is In Heaven: “And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. ” Mark 14:36 “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9 He Is Unfailing For Nothing Is Impossible For Him: “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.” Jeremiah 32:17 He Is Life and Light: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 1:4 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalms 27:1 “The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.” Psalms 119:130 He Is Our Teacher, The Absolute Best and One True Teacher: “Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” John 1:38 “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.” Matthew 23:8 He Is A Shepherd, The One True Good Shepherd: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” John 10:11 He Is Truth And All Truth Is His: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 He Is An Advocate, He Is The Advocate: “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” John 14:16, 26 He Is Forgiving, The Most Forgiving: “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,” Acts 3:19 “To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”” Acts 10:43 “But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’” Acts 26:16-18 He Is Full Of Grace, No More Grace Can Be Found With Any Other: “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:33 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18 “When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord.” Acts 11:23 Good Morning Tuesday....
Father Thank You for this NEW Day. Please grant us TRUTH, WISDOM, DISCERNMENT, UNDERSTANDING, and KNOWLEDGE. Father we ask this so that we will not be conformed to this world, but TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our MINDS. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST'S Name. Amen. - 8 Picture Verses From God's Word: Encouragement Good Morning Monday...
Thank You Father for loving us so much and the blessing of this NEW day. Please continue to fill our HEARTS & MINDS with your TRUTH & LOVE so we stay focused on Being Obedient to You, Your Guidance, and staying filled with Your Peace... TODAY! In Yeshua, Jesus Christ’s Name we pray. Amen! - Shine Like Lights... By Being Obedient Yeshua, Jesus Christ, wraps up the epitome of His followers mission with this statement: “Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” Matthew 16:24 Paraphrase this is saying: If you desire Me, stop thinking about yourself, what you want, and serve others regardless of the cost. There are translations of The Bible that even state The Scripture this way. We can see that Our King is telling us that our lives should consist of denial of self, self-control, and obedience to Him. Denying ourselves definitely means we won't always get what we want. We must sometimes just do what Yeshua wants and put all else to the side. This is where the tough part comes in... Do we accept this with joy or do we complain and argue? God's Word tells us in Phillipians 2:14: “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,” Philippians 2:14-15 If we have made a commitment in our lives to follow and serve Yeshua, Jesus Christ, then we have obviously come to the decision that following Him is the best option. If this is the case, then complaining gets us nowhere. It just doesn't make sense. What does make sense? Picking up our cross, having a good attitude, and following THE WAY with a godly attitude. It may be difficult, but this is what Our King has asked from us. God's Word goes on to state we should do things without arguing. Our Savior Is Our God and if we Love Him... why would we argue with Him about His Authority or Plan? There is nothing wrong with forming an argument FOR THE WAY He Has Chosen for us to go. Despite any difficulties, we should be arguing only for what He Has Already Chosen For Us. This is how we "shine as Lights in the world"... by being obedient. May we all, if we have made the decision to follow Yeshua, Jesus The Christ, obey the Will of God. Once we have made this decision, may we all do it with a "Light-Shining" Disposition. Father, Mighty God and Creator, we ask your help with this, for we know we are only Strong In You. In Jesus's Name we pray and ask this of You, Abba. Amen. Good Morning Sunday.......
Father, thank You for this NEW DAY. Please continue to FILL our HEARTS & MINDS WITH all that is YOU. Father, bless Your children SO at every opportunity today YOU ARE SEEN, HEARD, AND FELT through us TODAY. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's Name. Amen! - Our Father’s Plan(s) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 Our Father has an amazing plan for each and every one of us. Sometimes though, we can let sin get in the way of these plans. When we read the verse in Jeremiah 29 above, we see Our Father reassuring the people of Judah. Judah was disobedient and had gone overboard with sin, so naturally Our Father, being a Good Father, disciplines them. Judah was conquered by the Babylonians and sent into exile in Babylon. Our Father was disciplining them, but as we see in Jeremiah 29:11, He had not forgotten them. In fact, El Shaddai, God Almighty, had a transcending plan for Judah. This story should show us that Our Father has a transcendent plan for us as well. He Is Indeed Speaking To Us Through This Message. We all fall short of The Glory of God, but Our Father NEVER gives up on us. We are all ”God’s Workmanship Created In Christ Jesus For Good Works.” Let's get some witnesses from The Word of Truth: “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 Our Father In Heaven knew His Plans for each and every one of us from the beginning of eternity. He is continuously ”On The Job” to bring about these plans to fulfillment in our lives. Our Father may discipline us every now and then, but His Discipline is not meant to break us down, but to fill us up. All that God has planned is preparing us to fulfill His Amazing Plan for each of our lives. Can I get a witness? “For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of The LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom The LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Hebrews 12:3-13 God Our Father Is The Potter. He Is Reshaping Us Clay Pots: “And the vessel that He made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so He made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to The Potter to make.” Jeremiah 18:4 Our Father has designed plans. He has had this plan all along. His Plans are good. His Plans are meant for us to prosper, not harm us. May none of us fall into discouragement because of our past failures, and definitely not because of Our Father's Discipline. His Discipline Is A Blessing! May we all put our trust in The Creator Of All Things, God Our Father, His Amazing Plans, And ”Fight The Good Fight (1Timothy 6:12). Because God’ Our Father’s Plan(s) Will ALWAYS Stand, it gives us hope. We all may have tough times occasionally, and occasionally we may have to go through some discipline from God Our Father, but because we have The Best Father In Eternity, we can rest assured that we have a ”future and hope.” We may still be in Babylon today my Brothers and Sisters, and sometimes it can be tough dealing in this evil place, but don't give up. God Hasn't Given Up On You, And He Still Has Mighty Big Plans For You... And All Of Us! 🔥🙌 Prayer: Dear Father God, help us to press forward no matter what we may be facing. Help us to accept your discipline as The Blessing It Is. Help keep us patient as You FulFill Your Amazing Plans For Us. Help us to see You, and Your Plans, as our hope and our future. Father, we know You Never Give Up On Us, please help strengthen us to never give up on You. Bless You and Praise Your Holy Name Forever. Thank You Father. We Love You. We pray these things in Your Perfect and Mighty Son’s Name, Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Amen. Good Morning Sabbath.......
Father thank You for this NEW day. We ask that you OPEN our HEARTS and MINDS to YOUR infinite GRACE, WISDOM, and PEACE, so WE may SERVE You in the manner most PLEASING to YOU. In Your Mighty Son YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's Name we pray. Amen. - Let’s Do The Math: 1 + 2 = Love Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our King, tells us in The Gospel of Matthew: “Jesus said to him, “You shall love The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV “Yeshua said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The whole Torah and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40 WMB Here in Matthew we read about Our Savior explaining, in no uncertain manner, that every commandment Our Father has given us is connected to Love. Today let's take a look at what Paul writes about Love in 1 Corinthians and see if we can define this True Love that Our Messiah teaches us. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Paul writes: “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” I Corinthians 13:4-7 In verse 7 Paul writes 4 things about Love: Love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." For the sake of brevity let focus on these four things. 1 - Love Bears All Things: We as believers are not suppose to be easily offended. Love puts up with a lot. When we allow perceived slights and offenses to get us bent out of shape, it undermines our Love. What's crazy about this one is, I see many people offended by something that didn't even happen... they made it up in their own head with assumptions. We must beware of this. If we Love, we bear through. Don't let anyone, not even yourself, undermine your Love. 2 - Love Believes All Things: Love always has the best thoughts about Our Father...and neighbor. Love never attributes anything less than Perfect when it comes to Our Father. What The Creator Of Heaven And Earth Says... is True. In regards to our neighbor, Love isn't overly suspicious of people. That is not to say that Love is gullible or naive, just not quick to suspect the worst of people. Let's go ahead and get a few witnesses on the "not gullible or naive," and also catch some serious Word Wisdom: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” I John 4:1 “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.” James 1:16 “Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” I Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7 3 - Love Hopes All Things: When it comes to Our Father, this means we Hope In Him. We trust that God Our Father will fulfill His Promises. He will bring His amazing plan of salvation and redemption to complete fulfillment. As for our neighbor, Love expects the best in people. Love believes that with the help of Our Father...Love Can Change Anyone For The Better. 4 - Love Endures All Things: Does Love give up easy? Of course not. If we Truly Love God and our neighbor, we must endure. Whether it be tribulations or trials, persecution or offenses, wounds or disappointments, we should never stop Loving. Our Father is much wiser than us. He often allows things to happen that we don't always understand in the beginning, only to show us something wonderful that we do understand later (John 13:7). Also, people will disappoint, wound, or hurt us. If we are practicing True Love, we endure these things. God Our Father can shine, amazingly bright, His Amazing Love, when we endure with Love. We only need look to Our King and Savior, Our Salvation and Messiah, if we need a picture of Enduring Love🔥. A greater Love this world has never seen. 1 + 2 = Love. The Two Greatest Commandments. They are Great because they are what our existence is all about. Everything we believers do is governed by: Number One - Love God Our Father Above All Things, with your heart, mind, soul, and body. Number Two - Love Your Neighbor As Yourself. Think about that... "As Yourself." How do we want to be treated? Wow. One day we will inherit The Kingdom of God with Our Savior, The Lion of The Tribe of Judah, and when we do, I am pretty sure Jesus Will Have Expected Us To Have Learned.... We Must Let Love Reign... Forever and Ever. Amen! Good Morning Friday.......
Father thank You for this NEW day. You have blessed us with another WONDERFUL day to see your WISDOM and TRUTH. May we use this day to show this dark and war-filled world Your Light and Glory TODAY! Good Morning Thursday...
Our Father who art in heaven, please take Your day and use us, Your humble servants, for Your Good and Perfect Will. Father give us the Grace and Peace Only found in You and in Your Son Jesus Christ, Our King and Messiah. We ask this in Yeshua, Jesus Christ Name. Amen.. - An Exercise In Connecting With Our Father - By Faith #2 Step 1 - Prayer (Begin With Focus And Openness Towards God) Prayer: Dear Father God, please connect with us here as we seek in Your Word. Help us to show our Faith. Help us to find Your Peace. Be with us. Thank You. In Yeshua, Jesus's Name we pray. Amen Step 2 - Read Read the Scripture slowly. Be aware of any interesting words, phrases, or sentences. Read over The Scripture a second Time. Read: “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:1-10 Step 3 - Reflect Reflect on what stands out to you as you read. What is God trying to tell you? Step 4 - Respond Respond to The Word you just read. Talk to Your Father about how you feel. Tell Him what is on your mind. Tell him what is on your heart. As you go through your day today keep your eyes open to what you read, what you uncovered, or what you spoke to God about. You may find Him showing up in places you didn't expect. God Bless everybody. May The God Of All Good Things Give each and everyone of you PEACE.
Thank you to Brother John W. Ritenbaugh and berean.org for today's devotion. - Made In Our Father’s Image (7) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7 From our childhood, we carry an image of God kneeling over the created but inert Adam. He is lifeless until God performs the first mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and then Adam springs to life! His eyelids flutter, he takes a deep breath, and then he bends from his waist and sits up. Nowhere does the Bible show God breathing life into any animal that He created. When He created them, they started breathing. Why should man be any different? He is different because he is in the likeness of God. He did something to man that actually made man into the image of God. While he was lying there on the ground, he was still yet a creature. But when God knelt down and breathed into him, the infusion of the spirit in man occurred. That is what made man in the image of God! That is what gave man the power to have dominion. It gave man the intellect he needed to rule what God has created. Man has creaturely life, but with the infusion of the spirit in man, he is more—a living being with intelligence. Man was given the power to govern his actions, not by instinct, but by memory, by conceptualization and thinking spatially. A man can appreciate beauty, communicate verbally, or write. A human being has feelings that are—in the expression of their subtly and power—far above an animal in terms of love or hate, and above all of the emotions that fall in between. We can create and destroy. The power is in a man to do these things. The power is in the spirit when combined with the brain, but it has to be developed. God shows very clearly that, as we are, we are nothing more than a pale representation of what we can be. Yet, we are endowed with powers that lift us so far above the animals on earth that we can have dominion over them. Mankind is then commanded to fill the earth and subdue it. Subdue means "to tread upon," which implies "to bring into subjection." It does not mean "to destroy" or "to treat violently," but "to control and direct." In Genesis 1:26 and 28, God implies that He has conferred powers to mankind not given to animals. It is also the first indication, when combined with Genesis 2:7 and 15, that when God confers a responsibility, He also confers the powers to carry out that responsibility. Good Morning Tuesday.......
Thank You Father for this NEW DAY. Help us to live aware, to choose wisely, to stay close to You, and anchored in Your TRUTH. Thank You for Your Great Love and Mercy. Thank You that You Wait For Us, and You Strengthen Us. We come to You today, choosing to walk in Your PRESENCE AND LIGHT. In YESHUA, Jesus Christ's Name we pray. Amen. - The Beginning... Of Knowledge If we are to take a look at wisdom, it is probably smart to start in Proverbs Chapter 1. After all, this is the chapter that lays the foundation for all the following wisdom in the rest of the Book of Proverbs. This chapter, one, is a sweet 33 verses of pure good stuff. Our Father here, is not only “giving a clue,” but also a promise. We may try to start unveiling mysteries on this chapter on another day, but today... let’s just take it at face value. It gets interesting from the start, pretty hard core towards the middle, and, as Our Father likes to do, there is much joy at the end. God Bless every one and have a great Father and Son-Filled day! May your worries be few, may your legs be strong, and may your blessings be many. Shalom! Proverbs Chapter 1: The Beginning of Wisdom: “The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding, To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion— A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son, hear the instruction of your Father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; For they will be a graceful ornament on your head, And chains about your neck. My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent. If they say, “Come with us, Let us lie in wait to shed blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause; Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, And whole, like those who go down to the Pit; We shall find all kinds of precious possessions, We shall fill our houses with spoil; Cast in your lot among us, Let us all have one purse”— My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path; For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood. Surely, in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird; But they lie in wait for their own blood, They lurk secretly for their own lives. So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners. Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words: “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out My Spirit on you; I will make My words known to you. Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out My Hand and no one regarded, Because you disdained all My counsel, And would have none of My rebuke, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. “Then they will call on Me, but I will not answer; They will seek Me diligently, but they will not find Me. Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear (Lit. Translation in Hebrew: to know) of The LORD (YHWH,Yahweh), They would have none of My counsel And despised My every rebuke. Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies. For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them; But whoever listens to Me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.” Proverbs 1:1-33 |
