Good Morning Wednesday...
Thank you Father for the blessing of this NEW day. Please continue to fill our HEARTS AND MINDS with Your TRUTH AND LOVE so we STAY FOCUSED DURING the TRIALS of TODAY. Abba, during this time of Elul, and everyday, we ask you to help us to SEE our SINs, REPENT from them, CONFESS them, AND BE CLEANSED by Your Mighty Right Hand. IN YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Mighty Name we ask these things Father. AMEN! - The 40 Days of Elul (Day 4): Trials With Job - Part 2 - God Our Father Is Sovereign “One day the angels came to present themselves before The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh), and satan also came with them. The LORD (YHVH , Yahweh) said to satan, “Where have you come from?” satan answered The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh), “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” Then The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) said to satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” “Does Job fear God for nothing?” satan replied. “Have You not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. But now stretch out Your Hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse You to Your Face.” The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) said to satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then satan went out from the presence of The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh).” Job 1:6-12 NIV So now we have established that Job was blessed, upright, and just. He did the right thing, taught his children and those around him the right thing, by doing it himself, and was, as God’s Word puts it “the greatest man among all the people of the East.” Now it is time to meet two more characters in this story of blessing, tragedy, testing, and triumph… The Producer, Director, and Our Father, God Almighty, and the enemy satan. Immediately following the opening of the story and the introduction of Job, we cut to heaven and God’s Office or Throne Room (my imagination, the scripture does not state the location.) Our Father calls his servants in and guess who comes strolling in with them… satan. Guess what he does? He starts accusing (pretty predictable given that satan’s name means “accuser”). Our Father asks him where he has been, as if He didn’t already know, and satan gives an answer equivalent to “oh, just traveling around the earth and going back and forth in it.” You see, the enemy had been roaming around looking for someone to accuse, and as we talked about, whose “Light” was shining all bright on the the earth just waiting to get noticed? You guessed it…Job. Obviously God knew what satan had been doing, what he was about to do, and being the no nonsense King of The Universe that He Is, He gets right to business and asks satan: “Have you considered My servant Job?” Now at this point one might ask: “Why would God highlight Job for satan to accuse? Well, just like when we go to specialist to get a job done right, Our Father knew Job was the right man for this job… The Job for the job. Job’s specialty? Righteousness, blamelessness, and faithfulness, as we read yesterday. God Our Father was about to show satan, and everyone who reads The Bible, a thing or two about faithfulness and His servant Job was going to be the conduit to show that faithfulness. After all, who do you send into action during the championship moment? Your best player. Needless to say, the enemy jumped at the chance to accuse Job. Satan chooses to tempt Our Father, questioning Job’s loyalty, saying it is only because of God’s Blessing and Goodness that Job is faithful. But… satan isn’t dealing with Adam and Eve this time. Our Father doesn’t eat that kind of fruit and, He can’t be tempted to make the wrong decision. The enemy goes on to say that Job would certainly not be faithful without God’s Blessings and if God were to stretch out His Hand and strike all of What Job has, he would “certainly” curse God “to His Face.” Paraphrasing, God says: “Go ahead and test My servant and see what happens, but… don’t you lay a finger on him.” The enemy heads out to attack. The following conflict in The Book of Job leaves us to struggle with the question: Why? Why does God allow His servant to struggle? Why is there suffering? Is God the one who causes it? Why does Job deserve this? And the final and biggest why of all… why is evil allowed? We will indeed look at those questions, but for today let’s finish this scene. Notice, the enemy had to ask for permission before going after Job. God Our Father Is Sovereign. God Our Father Makes The Rules. God Our Father Immediately Draws The Line and Boundaries. Up until this point, it seems Our Father’s Covering is over Job. Even though Our Father is about to allow the enemy to tempt Job, it is important to remember this verse when looking at Job’s story: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV You see, in the big scheme of things, there really is no battle between good and evil. There is no force in existence as powerful and Almighty as God Our Father. Remember, the battle is already won and it belongs to Our Father. Our Savior doesn’t declare “It Is Finished” (John 19:30) for nothing. There is El Shaddai, God Almighty, and then everything else. Everyone has to answer to The Sovereign King, and Our Father is just that… All Power Is His. Evidence of this is right here in Job when the enemy has to ask permission for the coming temptation. Whether we choose to be frustrated or comforted by The Truth of The Book of Job, or both, it is important to realize nothing comes into our lives without God Our Father allowing it. He is… “where the buck stops” and He Is… ALWAYS guarding us whether we choose to believe it or not. It may frustrate some of us because we don’t have The Mind of God to understand all His Ways, or His Purpose for us in pain, but you can bet your Life on it… His Good Purpose Will Prevail. Job didn’t have a clue about what was about to happen. He was just living his Life when everything around him started to fall apart. When we go through tough times, it is usually the same. Knowing, believing, and trusting that God Our Father Is Sovereign Above All Is A Powerful Truth. Before the enemy strolls into God Our Father’s Office, before the pain, accusations, torment, and redemption found in The Book of Job, Our Father makes sure we understand who is in complete control… Him. Not only is this a Life changing realization, but to those who believe, it is extremely comforting to know that even in the worst of our Life’s calamities, God Our Father knows what is happening, He Is In Control, He Is Watching us, and He will not allow us to be tempted past what He Knows we can handle. Even in the darkest of our days He Tells us… “I Am With You… ALWAYS. (Matthew 28:20)” Prayer: Father God, thank You for being Sovereign, All-Powerful, and most of all thank you for being Our Protector and Redeemer. Help us to understand Your Plan of Salvation, Your Sovereignty, Your Wisdom, and help us to have Your Peace in that Father. You are The God Who Sees Us (Genesis 16:13), El Roi, and we thank You for Loving us… First. We thank you for Always being with us. And finally Father, we thank You for winning our battles, because they belong to You. Bless You Father. We ask these things and pray in The Name Above All Names, Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Amen. Extra Thoughts During Elul: According to tradition, The Month of Elul was the time that Moses spent on Mt. Sinai getting ready to descend with the second set of tablets containing the Ten Commandments, after he broke the first set when he saw the Israelite people worshiping a golden calf. During this time, Moses prayed to God to forgive the people for this infidelity and to establish a new covenant with this imperfect people. This was the first act of teshuvah (repentance, “turning back to God”), of making an effort to turn away from our baser selves, and to turn toward our best and most godly selves. “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine. He feeds his flock among the lilies.” Song of Solomon 6:3

Good Morning Tuesday...
AMEN! - The 40 Days of Elul (Day 3): Trials With Job - Part 1 - Blessed Job “In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East. His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.” Job 1:1-5 NIV We first begin in The Book of Job when Life is going pretty awesome. Job “walked with God” in a faithful and righteous manner, making right choices based in God’s Word. As we can see, Job was a model for us as believers. Job was rewarded for his faithfulness and prospered greatly. Job was not only wealthy monetarily, but also was blessed with 10 children and many animals. His flocks were vast. It is apparent that Job must have been a respected and powerful man because of the blessings Our Father had bestowed upon him. Righteous, respected, wealthy, and blessed as he was, Job still took time everyday, sacrificed his time and resources, and blessed his children so that they would be in good standing with Our Father, as he was. At this point it is hard not to look at Job’s life and say: “Wow, now there is a good Christian,” but… trials will come to all christians in this life… as we will soon see. Job is not an “everyman” character. When we examine Job’s life we can see that he “went the extra mile” in everything. He was the guy who: gave extra, served more, prayed constantly, and followed God unceasingly. Quite frankly, he was more disciplined, selfless, giving, and Loving than most… maybe more than all of us who will read this. Let’s be real, of course he was! He was “the greatest man among all the people of the East” (Job1:3)! Job seems to be the guy who, if he lived today, everyone would look up to and admire for his amazing walk with God. For all intensive purposes he was a preacher, prophet, pastor, missionary, and mentor for all. This is where things get difficult to understand for a lot of Christians. Although Job was a model citizen in The Kingdom of Our Father In Heaven, devastation was close at hand. All of the wonderful things Job was doing made him stick out, set-apart (holy), and in a very noticeable way. The things that made Job stick out were exactly the reason the father of lies came looking for him. Job was “A Light” in the darkness and the enemy chose Job because of his right-standing with God Almighty, not in spite of it. Unfortunately, many, including Jobs friends, would believe the later, but as we will find out, they are wrong. It is obvious that Job represented “The Best of The Best” when it comes to followers of The Word. Job was far from average. He was neither lukewarm nor cold, but “On Fire” for God as we might say today. Job was obedient, blessed, and well respected. None of this could stop the wrath that was about to come in and upon his life. As we are soon to see, being “Good” does not prevent struggle and trials from entering our lives, but because of them… we can grow in Our Father’s Ways and be more blessed than at first. Stand strong Brothers and Sisters. Though we may be facing trials, if we but stay faithful, let God Our Father do His Work, and have faith… Our blessings will be larger than the ones of our past days. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You are Kind, Merciful, and Wise, please help us to better understand Your Plan as we journey through The Book of Your Servant Job this week. Help us to see The Hope of You, Your Deliverance, Our Redemption, and Salvation even when we have to face pain in this life. Give us fortitude, help us “set our faces like flynt,” and help us to always see Your Guiding Mighty Right Hand, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, in all that may be happening. Bless You Father, we Love You Father, and we pray these things in The Mighty Name of Your Word and Anointed Redeemer, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Jesus Christ. Amen. Extra Thoughts During Elul: During this time of Elul, we take a good, hard, long look at where we are spiritually, in a spirit of repentance, ahead of The Feast of Trumpets and The Day of Atonement, The High Holiest Day of The Year. In the month of Elul, we begin the journey of finding our way back to our truest relationship with our best self, which is when we are connected to Our Father and Savior, growing in godliness. It is very interesting that in the Aramaic language the word “Elul” means “search”. How fitting as we take this time to search deeply into our hearts, minds, and souls to find our way back to the best version of ourselves… The one that is loving Our Mighty Father and Savior with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine. He feeds his flock among the lilies.” Song of Solomon 6:3 Good Morning Monday...
Thank you Father for this NEW DAY! Today,“(we will) trust in You Father with all (our) hearts and lean not on (our) own understanding; in all (our) ways (we will) acknowledge (You), and (You) shall direct (our) paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). May we choose to follow Our Father and Savior in Faith today! In Yeshua, Jesus Christ's Name. Amen! - The 40 Days of Elul (Day 2): Don't Trust Your Heart! Trust Your Disciplined And Godly Transformed Mind - Part 2 How do we fight against our "deceitful hearts?" That is the question we face. Yesterday we looked into the dangers of trusting our hearts and briefly touched on the fact that the world is constantly telling us to trust these deceitful hearts of ours. Today we will look at how to arm ourselves against following that path of deceit and The Way to train ourselves to follow our disciplined, transformed, and godly trained mind. A Yahweh Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, or A God Our Father and His Son Jesus Christ Transformed Mind. Let's jump right into a witness from The Word of God.: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Romans 12:1-3 We see here God's Word telling us not to be "conformed," but to be "transformed" by the "renewing of our minds." Right away Our Father tells us, in Romans 12, to be living sacrifices, don't be conformed to a world telling us to trust our hearts, and transform our minds so we "may prove what is that good and acceptable and Perfect Will of God." So, it is with our minds that we must prove The Will of God for our lives... not our heart. The question is now, what is our mind like before we "transform" our minds and before we can "think soberly (1 Peter 1:13)?" Let's look in Our Father’s Word and find out.: “Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,” Colossians 2:18 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.” Romans 8:5 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to The Law (Torah, Instructions) of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:7-8 Here we see that before we transform our minds, our minds are carnal, fleshly, and deceitful. In some places throughout God's Word, it likens a fleshly mind with drunkenness, pride, and vanity. This is what happens to us when we have been following our hearts and they are filled with the passions of the world. In order to arm ourselves, in order to transform our minds... what must we do? I believe in order to do this we must begin with the first commandment. We are suppose to love God with "all our mind (Luke 10:27)." If we are loving God with all our mind, it would mean that we are in His Word, studying, and reading to "prove what is that good and acceptable and Perfect Will of God." If we don't do this, how can we even "know" His Will? The answer is we can't. It takes an effort on our part, choosing Him As God and not following our own conception of good. Our Father knows best, can train our minds if we submit to him, and lead us into a more full, peaceful, and joyful Life. We must arm ourselves against deceit. We must set our minds on "Things of The Spirit." As in the verses above show, our minds can lead us astray just as our hearts if we allow them to be "fleshly" and "carnal." The key is to identify when we are acting fleshly and carnal, or following our deceitful hearts, and repent of that behavior, that thinking, or the longing for worldly things. God's Word is the only Truth where we have a standard in which to judge rightly against these things and to know the "fruit" of when we are doing this. The Bible mentions the word mind 92 times and it is either pointing to a fleshly mind or a mind that shares in the Will of Our Father, His Son, and The Body of Christ. After all, isn't "The Head" of man, and The Church, Christ? Aren't we suppose to train ourselves to have "The Mind of Christ?" We all know, changing someone's mind on something can be a difficult thing. Letting God Change our minds with His Word doesn't have to be. Once we have studied God's Word, tested our motives by questioning ourselves, and try to learn what God Is Showing us, we begin to transform our minds and likeness to His Character. We should all be aware not to trust our hearts, but if we learn to train and transform our minds... we begin to arm ourselves against the deceits of the world. Remember, the world wants us to think God's Word is wrong, but The Truth is... once we transform our old minds by God's Word into a disciplined and godly mind... we will know without a doubt... His Word Is Truth, Life, and The Way. Let us conclude with a few verses about a rightly transformed mind. A mind that has been transformed by The Word of God. Once we start on this path of "rightly dividing The Word of Truth," we will be training ourselves to have a transformed and godly-disciplined mind. With a godly and transformed mind, we will be able to fight against any deceit our hearts or the world throws at us. God Bless Everybody and have a Great Godly-Transformed Mind Day! The Word of Truth about a "right" mind: “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11 “And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:29-32 “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” Philippians 2:2 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2:5 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing The Word of Truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV Good Morning Repentance Sunday…
Dear FATHER GOD, we believe we exist only because of You and we want to THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT OF LIFE. It isn’t always the way we think it should be, but Life is amazing and it all comes from You. YOU HAVE BLESSED US WITH wonderful people and things in our lives, particularly YOUR SON AND YOUR SALVATION. We are eternally grateful for everything You’ve provided for us. WITH much THANKSGIVING from Your Sons and Daughters WE PRAY IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF YOUR SALVATION AND OUR MESSIAH YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST. Amen. Well, Brothers and Sisters, last night we entered into the month of Elul, or the 6th month on the Hebrew calendar. This next 40 days for us as Israel (God’s People, Not The Land), God’s Children, are seen as a time of reflection, self evaluation, and repentance as we head toward the fall feasts. The “40 days of Elul” culminates with The Day of Atonement in Our Father’s Holy Festivals, which is, Biblically, The High Holiest Day of the year. That’s pretty big! When Our Father tells us that He has marked one of His Days as “The High Holiest Day” of the year... we should definitely pay attention. Many during this time will be fasting, spending extra time in prayer, spending extra time with Our Father in other ways, serving others, and generally working to get closer to Our Father. Elul is specifically about repentance, evaluating our hearts, and recommitting ourselves to Our God, King, and Leader. Being that most issues any of us will deal with are “heart issues,” spiritually speaking, this is a perfect time to review and talk about “The Heart” and “The Transformed Mind.” As we move through these next 40 days we will talk more about Elul, Our Father’s Holy Festivals (Rehearsals), the implications for each of us as God’s People in these festivals, the prophetic significance in Our Father’s Holy Feasts, and also what important lessons there are to learn through His Festivals. Prayerfully, we will have time to look into the number 40 as well, since we have been going over Our Father’s use of numeric symbolism in His Word. Today, let’s focus on The Heart and The Transformed and Godly Mind. God Bless My Brothers and Sisters... I Love You All Very Much! - The 40 Days of Elul (Day 1): Don't Trust Your Heart! Trust Your Disciplined And Godly Transformed Mind - Part 1 The world is full of lies. The world propagates these lies over and over so that we believe them. In the study of mind control, hypnosis, and brain washing, there is one element that is required. Repetition. The enemy knows that if you hear something over and over, hear it repeated by friends and family, and hear it from the idols of the world such as musicians in secular music, you will believe them eventually and you may not even know where you received this advice. The fact is, we believe these things sometimes just because so many people have said it and it becomes ingrained in our mind. This is one of the biggest reasons God's Word Tells us to test EVERYTHING against The Word. When we do, many times, we will find what we have "learned" from popular culture is completely opposite from what The Bible teaches us. How many times have you heard song lyrics such as: "Listen to your heart," "the heart don't lie," "follow your heart," and we could go on and on. Now, with that in mind, today let's take a look at what Our Father's Word tells us about our hearts.: “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10 NKJV “Above everything else, guard your heart; for it is the source of life’s consequences.” Mishlei (Proverbs) 4:23 CJB “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded!” James 4:8 LEB “But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these defile the person. For from the heart come evil plans, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, abusive speech. These are the things that defile a person. But eating with unwashed hands does not defile a person!” Matthew 15:18-20 LEB So we can see, trusting our hearts can be dangerous business. Our hearts follow in line with moods, emotional outbursts, over passionate relationships that aren't healthy, and a myriad of other "defiling" behaviors. In the verses above we are told to not trust our hearts, guard our hearts, purify our hearts, and Yeshua Jesus Christ Himself tells us things come out of the heart such as: evil plans, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, and abusive speech. Why in the world would we trust our hearts?! The answer, is definitely that we shouldn't. So how do we fight against this "deceitful heart" we have been given? With a disciplined, Word Filled, and Transformed Mind. We will talk more about this tomorrow and throughout “The 40 Days of Elul.” Today, I encourage everyone to evaluate the decisions they have made with their heart. What was the outcome? Where did it lead? Have the decisions you made based on passion helped or hurt your prosperity in Christ? Have you told a friend or your children to follow their heart? Has someone told you recently to follow your heart? Beware, the enemy is prowling around. I pray that we all start to question the fake wisdom this world is providing and begin looking towards The Truth. When we arm ourselves with Truth, God's Word, the enemy's deception is easy to spot. With God's Word as our guide, we can all begin to lead more Love-Filled, Prosperous, and Peaceful Lives. God Bless everyone and have a Great God-Filled Day! Good Morning Sabbath Day…
Father, thank you for this NEW SABBATH DAY. ENLIGHTEN our minds WITH TRUTH. INFLAME our hearts WITH LOVE. INSPIRE our will WITH COURAGE. ENRICH our lives WITH SERVICE. PARDON us for what we have been. SANCTIFY what we are. It is YOUR GLORY FATHER, and our ETERNAL SALVATION through Your Son YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST, Our King, Messiah, and LORD of our lives. We praise you, ask Your Forgiveness for our transgressions against You, and request these things in His Mighty Name, just as You have shown us is The Way. Amen. A Big Thank You to Brother Martin G. Collins and berean.org for today's devotion. Now The Bereans were more noble-minded than The Thessalonians, for they received The Message with great eagerness and examined The Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. Acts 17:11 - A Berean Breakdown: Letter and Spirit “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from The Law (Torah) till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in The Kingdom of Heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter The Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 5:18-20 The Letter of The Law (Torah, Instructions) that the Pharisees tried to keep was not enough—especially for us. We have to exceed The Letter of The Law (Torah, Instructions). Here, Jesus was so specific about the continuance of The Law (Torah, Instructions) from The Old Covenant to The New that He referred to the smallest punctuation and pronunciation marks contained in The Written Law (Torah, Instructions), the "jot and tittle." Most modern theology discards The Letter in favor of The Spirit, but one extreme is as bad as the other. The true Christian needs both The Written Letter of The Law (Torah, Instructions) as well as its Spirit to keep it properly. To keep God's Law (Torah, Instructions) properly, we have to learn to recognize The Spirit of The Law. The Spirit of The Law means God's original intent or purpose behind each law. When God designed The Sabbath, for example, He intended it to be a blessing to human beings. He designed it to be a refreshing rest and an opportunity both to recuperate physically after six days of work and to draw close to Him in Love and to worship Him, as well as to deepen Love for the brethren through fellowship and outgoing concern. Jesus knew The Spirit of The Sabbath commandment. Therefore, He knew that the split second of divine effort involved in healing was a valid use of time on The Sabbath (Matthew 12:10-12). Because of Jesus' insight into the divine purpose behind The Sabbath, He freed the crippled worshipper of his burden. He experienced a wonderful and exciting blessing because Jesus understood The Spirit of The Law. God's Law (Torah, Instruction) is always a blessing to those who recognize The Spirit of The Law. Happy Sabbath and Shabbat Shalom My Brothers and Sisters! May Our Father and Savior’s Peace be upon you all! Good Morning Preparation Day Friday...
Father God, may we BE GRATEFUL for our lot, and COMPASSIONATE TOWARD ALL those who are suffering every kind of distress during these difficult days. May we hold back nothing, and hasten to be a people who MINISTER PRAYER, MERCY, AND LOVE like Your Son Yeshua, Jesus Christ, and Your Apostles who went about DOING GOOD IN TIMES OF NEED. We ask this IN YESHUA, Jesus Christ OUR MESSIAH’S MIGHTY AND BLESSED NAME. Amen! - Bible Emergency Numbers - Part 4 “But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed Him. He welcomed them, spoke to them of God’s Kingdom, and He cured those who needed healing.” Luke 9:11 Intro: With all the talk about Biblical Numbers, we would be remiss not to have a look at some of the most important numbers in The Bible. What numbers are those? Emergency numbers. The numbers of The Bible Verses we turn to when we are sad, sick, repentant, lonely, hurting, need encouragement, or any other need we may have. Our Mighty Father’s Word is beyond any counselor’s wisdom, psychiatrist’s prescription, or any “man’s” guidance in this world, so why in the world would we not have “Emergency Numbers” to “call on” when we are in need? Exactly, we absolutely should. With that established, let’s spend the next few days updating our “contacts” with The Word of The One Who Can Help Us No Matter Our Need. This should be a stark reminder to us all, when we are in trouble of any kind… Who you gonna call? YESHUA! THE WORD OF GOD ALMIGHTY! Yeshua, Jesus Christ is The Only One With The Power and Who Can Lead Us To The Healing Power of God Our Father In Heaven and His Mighty Holy Healing Spirit. Without further ado, here are just a few of the literally thousands of Bible Verses for us during our tough times. Some of the verses provided will just be excerpts of longer readings we should look to when in trouble, so please let’s be encouraged to reach out our right hands fully to The Mighty Right Hand of God and receive what Our Mighty Father In Heaven has told us is our inheritance… The Guidance, Comfort, and Healing of The One Who Can Heal All Our Ails. “For with God NOTHING will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 “Praise Yahweh, my soul! All that is within me, praise His Holy Name! Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all His Benefits, Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalms 103:1-5 “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24 Emergency Numbers of The Bible (Part 3): WHEN YOU FEEL LOW - Romans 8:31-37 “What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who didn’t spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how would He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who could bring a charge against God’s Chosen Ones? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at The Right Hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from The Love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who Loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s Love which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.” Romans 8:31-39 WHEN YOU FEEL OVERWHELMED BY THE WORLD - Call Psalm 90 “O LORD, You have been our help in all generations. Before the mountains were born and You brought forth the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You Are God. You return man to the dust, saying, “Return, O sons of man.” For a thousand years in Your Eyes are like yesterday when it passes, or like a watch in the night. You sweep them away like a flood. They fall asleep. In the morning they are like grass that sprouts anew. In the morning it blossoms and sprouts anew; by evening it withers and dries up. For we are brought to an end by Your Anger, and we hasten off by Your Wrath. You have put our iniquities before You, our hidden sins into The Light of Your Countenance. For all of our days dwindle away in Your Rage; we complete our years like a sigh. As for the days of our years, within them are seventy years or if by strength eighty years, and their pride is trouble and disaster, for it passes quickly and we fly away. Who knows the strength of Your Anger, and Your Rage consistent with the fear due You? So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Return, O Yahweh. How long? And have compassion on Your Servants. Satisfy us in the morning with Your Loyal Love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as You have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen calamity. Let Your Work be visible to Your Servants, and Your Majesty to their children. And let the beauty of The LORD our God be upon us, and establish for us the work of our hands, yes, the work of our hands, establish it.” Psalms 90:1-17 WHEN YOU FEEL SMALL - Call Psalm 19 “The heavens are telling The Glory of God, and The Firmament proclaims The Work of His Hands. Every day they pour forth speech, and every night they tell knowledge. There is no speech and there are no words; their sound is inaudible. Yet in all the world their line goes out, and their words to the end of the world. In them He has pitched a tent for the sun, and it is like a bridegroom who comes out of his bridal chamber. It is glad like a strong man to run its course. Its rising is from one end of the heavens and its circuit to the other end of them; and nothing is hidden from its heat. The Law (Torah) of Yahweh Is Perfect, reviving Life. The Testimony of Yahweh is firm, making wise the simple. The Precepts of Yahweh are right, making the heart rejoice. The Command of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes. The Fear of Yahweh is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of Yahweh are True; they are righteous altogether, more desirable than gold, even much fine gold; and sweeter than honey, even honey in the comb. Moreover, Your Servant is warned by them; in keeping them is great reward. Who can perceive his errors? Acquit me from hidden faults. Also, keep back Your Servant from arrogant sins; let them not rule over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your Presence, O Yahweh, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Psalms 19:1-14 God Bless My Brothers and Sisters and have a Wonderful-Word-Of-God-Almighty-Filled-Preparation Day! Good Morning Thursday...
FATHER thank You for this NEW DAY. We ask that you cover us with YOUR MIGHTY HAND. Let us understand YOUR MIGHTY WILL so that we may see YOUR INFINITE GLORY. We ask this in YOUR PERFECT SON YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's NAME, Amen.. Tomorrow we will continue with “Bible Emergency Numbers,” but today this servant felt a strong calling to share the below devotion. I am not sure who needs to read this today… God Only Knows. My prayer is that you are as moved by this devotion as I was to share these words. May Our Father and Savior’s Shalom (Peace) and Grace be upon you. - He Is... THE ONE… The Only One Who Knows Who knows who you really are? Who knows your heart? Who knows what you have really gone through? Who knows pain like you have experienced? Who knows how those hateful words affected you? Who knows how ashamed you feel? Who knows how sorry you are for having done that one thing? Who knows how long you have dealt with this problem? Who knows how much Love is inside of you? Who knows how you really feel? God Almighty, Yahweh Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, God Our Father and His Son Jesus Christ, He Is... The Only One Who Knows. During Bible Study, training for ministry, work, and every other part of life, one thing keeps playing over in my head... God Only Knows. What Truth is contained in that statement! Our Father and Savior... Who else truly knows what you have been through? None. May we all find it in our hearts to forgive others for their transgressions. No matter what someone has said about you, no matter what anyone has done to you, no matter how others have treated you, we must forgive. Why? Because God Only Knows. Those who hurt us don't know what they have truly done. Those who speak ill of us... don't really know us. Those who persecute us and say all kinds of vile things about us... are lost. We pray for them so that they might find the kind of Love that... God Only Knows. Below are the lyrics to the song "God Only Knows" by For King and Country (I have included a link at the bottom of this devotion). It is a powerful song, a powerful Truth, and a powerful message. As we read it today, may we all realize that forgiving others is necessary for forgiveness. May we all think about those things Our Father has forgiven us for. Finally, may we all realize that there is Someone Who Knows how we feel, how we hurt, the battles we face, the battles we have triumphed, the pain people cause us, and the scars we bear. He bore scars, He was falsely accused, He was beaten, kicked, slandered, whipped, and hung on a cross. He Is...The Only One Who Knows: God Only Knows: Wide awake while the world is sound asleepin' Too afraid of what might show up while you're dreamin' Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you Nobody, nobody, nobody would believe you Every day you try to pick up all the pieces All the memories, they somehow never leave you Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you Nobody, nobody, nobody would believe you God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows how it's killing you But there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love You keep a cover over every single secret So afraid if someone saw them they would leave But somebody, somebody, somebody sees you Somebody, somebody will never leave you God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows how it's killing you But there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love For the lonely, for the ashamed The misunderstood, and the ones to blame What if we could start over We could start over We could start over Oh for the lonely, for the ashamed The misunderstood, and the ones to blame What if we could start over We could start over We could start over 'Cause there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you But there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love God only knows where to find you God only knows how to break through God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows The Word of Truth: “then hear in heaven Your Dwelling Place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men),” I Kings 8:39 “As for you, my son Solomon, know The God of Your Father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” I Chronicles 28:9 “But The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) looks at the heart.” I Samuel 16:7 “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But The LORD (YHVH, Yahweh) weighs the hearts.” Proverbs 21:2 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6:37 “For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in your words, And may overcome when you are judged.”” Romans 3:3-4 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, The Only True God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3 “You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so The LORD (YHVH , Yahweh) your God chastens you.” Deuteronomy 8:5 “James, a bondservant of God and of The LORD Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” James 1:1-3 “Indeed before the day was, I AM He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My Hand; I work, and who will reverse it?” Isaiah 43:13 “And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” Mark 4:41 “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” I Corinthians 2:9-16 God Only Knows (Lyrics) By For King & Country: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fhS83a5Ky84&feature=youtu.be Good Morning Wednesday…
Father thank You for this NEW DAY! As we RISE to meet this new day, please let us be filled with Your Spirit. Wherever we go, let us SPREAD LOVE, JOY, PEACE, GOODNESS, and FAITHFULNESS. Let us desire to become more like You and to worship You IN ALL WE DO. Help us desire these things so much more than the sin that tries to ensnare us. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's Name we pray. Amen. - Bible Emergency Numbers - Part 3 “But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed Him. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all His Benefits, Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalms 103:1-5 “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24 Emergency Numbers of The Bible (Part 3): WHEN YOUR FAITH NEEDS STIRRING - Call Hebrews 11 “Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see. This is why the ancients were commended. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous when God gave approval to his gifts. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead. By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. By faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.” Hebrews 11:1-7 WHEN YOU ARE DISCOURAGED WITH WORK - Call Psalm 126 “When Yahweh brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has done great things for them.” Yahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad. Restore our fortunes again, Yahweh, like the streams in the Negev. Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.” Psalms 126:1-6 WHEN YOU NEED COURAGE - Call Joshua 1 “Now after the death of Moses The Servant of Yahweh, Yahweh spoke to Joshua The Son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying, “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I Am giving to them, even to The Children of Israel. I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to The Great River, The River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border. No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you. “Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all The Law (Torah) which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of The Law (Torah) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.” Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “Pass through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare food; for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which Yahweh your God gives you to possess.’” Joshua spoke to The Reubenites, and to The Gadites, and to The Half-Tribe of Manasseh, saying, “Remember The Word which Moses The Servant of Yahweh commanded you, saying, ‘Yahweh your God gives you rest, and will give you this land. Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall live in the land which Moses gave you beyond The Jordan; but you shall pass over before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them until Yahweh has given your brothers rest, as He has given you, and they have also possessed the land which Yahweh your God gives them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and possess it, which Moses The Servant of Yahweh gave you beyond The Jordan toward the sunrise.’” They answered Joshua, saying, “All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. Just as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you. Only may Yahweh your God be with you, as He was with Moses. Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him shall himself be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.” Joshua 1:1-18 To be continued… God Bless My Brothers and Sisters and have a Wonderful-Word-Of-God-Almighty-Filled-Wednesday! Good Morning Tuesday...
FATHER, thank You for this new day, Your Day. THANK YOU FOR seeing beyond our faults and LOVING US UNCONDITIONALLY. FORGIVE US WHERE WE FAIL to Love others in the same way. HELP US TO EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF Your Son, YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST. BLESS YOU ABBA for Your Love, Comfort, Mercy, and Instruction! IN YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’S NAME we pray and give glory to You. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, You know it altogether. You hem me in behind and before. You laid Your Hand on me. This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it. Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your Presence? If I ascend up into heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your Hand will lead me, and Your Right Hand will hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me. The light around me will be night,” even the darkness doesn’t hide from You, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to You. For You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your Works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.” Psalms 139:1-14 WHEN IN DANGER - Call Psalm 91 “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, “He is my Refuge and my Fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His Feathers. Under His Wings you will take refuge. His Faithfulness is your Shield and Rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and The Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot. “Because He has set His Love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known My Name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. I will satisfy him with long life, and show him My Salvation.” Psalms 91:1-16 WHEN FEELING BITTER - 1 Corinthians 13 “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways. Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 To be continued… God Bless My Brothers and Sisters and have a Wonderful-Word-Of-God-Almighty-Filled-Tuesday! In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I Am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and THE WAY you know.” John 14:1-4 “Yeshua said to him, “I Am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me.” Yochanan 14:6 WHEN FEELING WEAK - Call Psalm 18:1-29 “I love you, Yahweh, my Strength. Yahweh is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my Rock, in whom I take refuge; my Shield, and The Horn of My Salvation, my High Tower. I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me. In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of His Temple. My cry before Him came into His Ears.” Psalms 18:1-6 WHEN IN PAIN - Call Isaiah 41:10, Jeremiah 33:6, and Matthew 11:28-30 “Fear not, for I AM with you; Be not dismayed, for I AM your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My Righteous Right Hand.’” Isaiah 41:10 “behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and Truth.” Jeremiah 33:6 “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 To be continued… God Bless My Brothers and Sisters and have a Wonderful-Word-Of-God-Almighty-Filled-Week! |
