Good Morning Happy Tuesday…
FATHER thank You for this new day. When we don’t understand… HELP US to trust You, UNDERSTANDing that YOU HAVE A PATH that is MEANT FOR OUR GOOD. HELP US to do what we already KNOW we should do. HELP US to not get frustrated. Help is to not be fearful, but to TRUST in YOU today. IN YESHUA HA’MASHIACH, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray. Amen. - Look Up and Live! Are We Paying Attention? The story of Moses at the Burning Bush is an intriguing one in God Our Father’s Holy Word. At first glance it would seem straight forward, Moses see a bush burning and the bush not being consumed so he "checks it out." But is there more lying under the surface? Let's take a look and see: “Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, The Mountain of God. And The Angel of The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” So when The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Exodus 3:1-4 NKJV It seems that Moses was doing a little more than just wandering around aimlessly in order to receive this awesome revelation from Our Father. He is obviously tending/leading the flock, and taking them to Horeb "The Mountain of God" which is definitely a picture of Our Messiah Jesus, but he is also doing something else. He is paying attention. He was aware of his surroundings and of God. Where many would have seen a bush on fire in the desert and dismissed it as a heat fire because of harsh conditions and dryness, it is written that Moses said: “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” He saw something strange and didn't turn his attention away ignoring it. His attention was an action item. A decided choice to journey closer to something he didn't understand fully, but a choice nonetheless. He chose to pay attention to God Speaking to him. Living in a world with a myriad of distractions seemingly every minute of the day has presented us with major problems. Society does not have the attention span it once had. Today's fast paced world is constantly tempting us to handle what we think is "urgent" and not what is truly meaningful. Moses was not only paying attention to the meaningful, but also to his surroundings. Are we paying attention to the meaningful? Are we aware of the company we keep, the places we are visiting, and the impact it has on us to pay attention to the meaningful? Are our lives filled with constant distractions from social media and communication with others? Is this leaving The Spirit of God That Calls To Us All to be ignored? Moses was aware of The Spirit of God, and his surroundings. It was here that Moses received his calling from God and replied "Here I am." He saw a miraculous sight where many may have ignored or been distracted with the anxieties, busyness, or the concerns of the world and this life. If we were to truly pick a thing, say color or a number, and really pay attention throughout a day to see where we would see that color or number pop up...Do you think we would see that color or number a lot? Of course we would. When we pay attention we notice things we might normally not. Ever gotten a new vehicle, whether new or used, and then noticed that vehicle everywhere you go? Of course. In the same way, what would happen if we were to truly pay attention to God Our Father and notice what He is doing in our lives, other's lives, and the world around us? Too often we remain oblivious to the things that Our Father is doing in our lives, and for a variety of reasons. It may be work, kids, social media, a gambling addiction, a drinking addiction, text messages, errands to run, or a myriad of other things, but it still holds the same... something is distracting us from the meaningful, from God's Spirit, and focusing our attention on something else. With our eyes focused on these "other things" such as comfort, busyness, or efficiency, we stand the chance of totally missing the Higher Things Of God and His Kingdom. Moses didn't let his attention drift from the meaningful or The Spirit of God. He paid attention, took notice, investigated, and answered God with a "here I am." He was focused and paying attention. It was that simple. He dropped what he was doing in the field with the flock, and sought to find out what God Was Doing in his life. This is when The Living God Lifted Up Moses To Go On A Grand Adventure And Used Him To Do Mighty Works. If we pay attention to Our Father Above, take notice, and don't get distracted with all that is happening around us in the world... Will He do the same with us? May we all take notice today at our own burning bushes and come closer to really see what God Our Father is planning for us. Prayer: Dear Father, today's world is a mad house. We see all the things going on in this world and sometimes our small attention spans seem to get distracted by everything. Please help us to pay attention and see what You Are Accomplishing In Our Lives and what Mighty Works You Want Us To Accomplish Through Your Son Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Abba, we know making mighty men and women of us is a simple thing for You. At but a Breath From Your Mouth All Things Are Accomplished. We know this. Please help us to pay more attention to You and What You Are Doing so that we may be a better influence and have a stronger impact on this world through You and Your Son. Help us to Live In Him, Through Him, and With Him along with the Power of Your Holy Spirit. We Love You. We Thank You. And We Praise You For Being The One True Living God Who Lifts Us From Our Weaknesses. We ask all these things in The Name Above All Names, Your Perfect Son, and Our Savior, Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, Jesus Christ's Holy Name. Amen.
