Good Morning Wednesday...
Father thank You for this NEW DAY. Please impart in our hearts YOUR WILL. We ask for Patience, Kindness, Humility, and Truth so we may show You and Your Son's Light in this fallen world. In Yeshua, JESUS CHRIST's Name we pray. Amen. - Letting Our Father Rule Daniel was in Babylon and set an amazing example for us today. He knew God was in control and no other. He lived this reality and because of it, his "paths were made straight (Proverbs 3:6)." Daniel saw God Our Father using Babylon as His Tool to correct His People. Daniel knew Nebuchadnezzar was God's servant whether the wicked king knew it or not. Daniel believed and lived knowing that God Is Sovereign in His Rule. We can see that Daniel wasn't respectful because king Nebuchadnezzar deserved it, but rather because Our Father Commanded it. Let's take a look where Our Father has Paul write about this: “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.” Romans 13:1-5 While Our Father had Paul write these verses long after Daniel, it is clear that Daniel had been shown these precepts by God. His actions proved it. Much to our detriment, and very unfortunately, not many people share Daniel's attitude and actions when it comes to the people in authority over us today. We have all certainly heard excuses why responses like Daniel's to a godless master and society won't work today. These excuses don't justify what God Has Commanded Us To Do. Judged against Scripture, these excuses just don't hold up. Daniel, Joseph, Jeremiah, and a plethora of other Mighty Servants Of God all knew that Our Father wanted submission to authorities during their season of power. The season of power Our Father Had Placed Them In. Shouldn't we act in the same manner? So many people in this world are rebuking our authorities, speaking ill, and taking actions to oppose them that our society has run amuck. Hatred and rebellion are being produced on a mass scale and we, just like the prophets and mighty men of old, must practice humility, submit to our governing authorities, and live in peace with our society. God Has Spoken This and this is THE WAY to "Be A Light" to this fallen world. Humility and submission may not always pay dividends immediately, but they do pay generously. Daniel, Joseph, and The Prophets were given authority because of their submission and humility, not their rebellion. Rebelling is for people like Nimrod and we all know what happened to his rebellious tower project and "babbling" kingdom. Heck, even old Nebuchadnezzar had to eat grass for seven years when he rebelled. I don't know about you, but I chewed enough grass before following God's Ways and God's Rule... I do not want to go back. Daniel went above and beyond. He was kidnapped, made a eunuch, forced to study mystery religions and the occult, given a name that honored a demon, and forced to serve a pagan king. Sounds rough right? We can be sure none of us have had to put up with anything like that, so may we all look at Daniel's humble and submissive spirit and grow closer to Our Father through obedience. Certainly Daniel didn't know how things would turn out, but humility, faith, and submission to God Almighty resulted in The Glory of God and Daniel's supreme influence over the affairs of his society. Daniel did what was right not because it was going to pay dividends, and we can see his humble respect didn't pay off immediately. There was no gain in the short term for Daniel. So the question one may ask would be: Then why did he do it? The answer: Because God Said To, because it was the right thing to do, and because he Let God Rule. Prayer: Dear Father, please help us to humbly submit to our governing authorities without rebuke, anger, or judgment of their actions. Help us to set an example of humility and faithfulness to others as we bless and pray for our authorities. We know you place all men in their positions, they all work for You, and You will do what is best for us all. Bless You Father For Your Righteousness, Your Holiness, and for giving us what's best for us even when we can't see it so clearly. We Love You and we thank You for Your Eternal Wisdom and Sovereignty. Blesses Be Your Name, Reign, and Kingdom Forever and Ever. We pray these things in Your Most Prestigious, Faithful, Humble, and Wisest Servant, Your Son and Our King, Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our Savior's Name. Amen. God's Ruling Word: “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11 “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,” Philippians 2:14-15 “Therefore do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your soothsayers, or your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “You shall not serve the king of Babylon.” For they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land; and I will drive you out, and you will perish. But the nations that bring their necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will let them remain in their own land,’ says The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), ‘and they shall till it and dwell in it.” Jeremiah 27:9-11 “Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” Titus 3:1-8 “The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.” I Peter 5:1-4 “And you shall know The Truth, and The Truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
