Good Morning Tuesday...
FATHER, YOUR COMMANDMENTS are a Lamp to our feet. Help us to live aware, to choose wisely, to stay close to You, and anchored in Your Truth! Thank You for YOUR GREAT LOVE AND MERCY. Thank You that You wait for us and You strengthen us. We come to You today, choosing to walk in YOUR PRESENCE AND LIGHT. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray. Amen. - Counting Down The Ten Commandments To 2021 - Resting In Our Father & Savior - Command (Instruction) #4 Instruction: The Sabbath is a special sign for God's Children, Israel, then, and His Children Israel today (Exo 31:13). It reminds us of our covenant with Our Heavenly Father and reminds us of His Mercy and Kindness. It also points us to the true rest that comes through Yeshua, Jesus. For us, God's Children, Israel, the Sabbath is about resting in Our Messiah and with Our Father. We are to rest in our Creator and King and spend time with Him. If we do this He will refill our spiritual lamps with oil. The Giving of Thanks: Our Father cares about our well being. He wants us to rest and get to know Him. He provides physical rest for His Children (Psalms 127:2). He has also provided for us a spiritual rest in Yeshua, Jesus Christ (Heb 4:9-10). Take a moment to thank God for both physical and spiritual rest. Confession: The cycle of Sabbaths was given in Genesis when Our Father rested, just to spend time with us, on The Seventh Day. Why did Our Father begin this cycle you may ask? As we know, He didn't need the rest. It is with no doubt though, He wanted us to rest, and spend time with Him. As Children of God Almighty, we should see this as a great privilege and opportunity to get to know The Greatest Being Who Ever Existed. He states to His People throughout all time, this will be the sign that they are His People and His Children (Exodus 31:13). If we celebrate His Sabbath and take in His Rest on The Seventh Day, as He has instructed, we will know that we are His. If we are working all the time, are we really looking to Our Father for provision? And if we don't spiritually rest and recharge by spending time in His Word, are we really trusting Our Savior Yeshua, Jesus Christ? Let us tell Our Father and confess the ways that we may have been ignoring His Sabbath Rest, working too much, or just being constantly active. It may be, that doing these things may be an expression of our lack of trust for Him. Let us evaluate our true state of being. Trust me, He already knows, but He Loves talking to us and hearing us seek His Guidance. Let us ask Him and confess if we have any spiritual turmoil in our lives that disallows our spiritual rest in Yeshua. Ask Him to deepen our trust in Our King Yeshua, renew our faith, and to find our rest in His True Rest, The Seventh Day... His Sabbath. Remember, "faith without works is dead"(James 2:17), and one of “the works” we are required to show is us respecting His Sabbath Day. Prayer: Dear Father, please let us experience Your True Sabbath. We know we can rest in Your Son and Our Savior Yeshua, Jesus Christ, and You Our Almighty Father. Please grant us a physical rest so that we may learn to "be still" and trust You for our needs. May our lives reflect the peace, grace, and love of a continual spiritual Sabbath because of everything You have done for us, Your Grateful Children. We ask these things in Yeshua, Jesus Christ's Mighty Name. Amen. *Note: If you have made it this far in the devotion, you are obviously seeking a deeper relationship with Our Father and Savior. I wanted to end today by giving a little testimony about Our Father’s Sabbath Day. For 33 years I personally didn’t understand that Our Father’s True Sabbath Day was on Saturday, the Seventh Day of the week. I assumed, like most, that Sunday had always been the day of worship, but when I began to intently study The Bible, I found out this was not true. It made sense because in Genesis we know that there were 7 days in creation and Our Father rested with Adam and Eve on The 7th Day. It is also a picture of “The Millennial Reign.” Once I began to look into the subject of the Sabbath I realized that Yeshua, His disciples, and all those following Our Savior, before and after His death and resurrection, were celebrating The 7th Day Sabbath. Surprisingly, forty-two times or more it is mentioned in The New Testament alone. Once I realized this, and then began to keep Our Father’s Sabbath, my life changed forever. My faith grew, my heart and mind became more calm, my understanding of Scripture became more clear, and my relationship with Our Father and Savior became closer than I had ever imagined possible. Why did this happen? I believe it is because Our Father picked this day to spend with us, and it is the very first covenant in The Bible. Please understand, the reason I give this testimony today is not to have anyone leave their church, not to have anyone point at others to tell them they are “doing it wrong,” but rather so that each and everyone of you reading this may share in the joy and fullness in which myself, and so many others, share each and every 7th day. Make no mistake, I miss many things now because the world holds most events on Saturday, but the relationship I now have with God Almighty, Our Father, is worth anything I could miss for the rest of my life. It is truly difficult to explain the immense blessing of keeping Our Father’s Sabbath and in the manner He asks of us. I think one of my associates stated it best when he said, “ no one can explain the blessing of The Sabbath... you have to experience it to understand it.” It is true. I want everyone to experience That Blessing, and so I share this with you today. I encourage you if you are “searching for more” in your relationship with Our Father, if you are looking for a way for your family to experience a blessing together and grow closer to Our Father and Savior, or if you are just jaded with the same-old same-old, please, I implore you to search this out for yourself. You will not find the words “old sabbath” in The Word of God. Our Savior Yeshua, Jesus Christ, truly is our Sabbath and I believe He will point you in the exact same direction. Remember, He Never Changes (Hebrews 13:8, Malachi 3:6). I will leave a link below to just one of many resources that will, with Scripture, point you to The Truth about Our Father’s Sabbath Day. In Scripture Our Father says His Sabbath is for “all generations, forever” and He points to it very clearly. One thing struck me as I was studying this 4th command (Instruction), when I first discovered His Sabbath, was the very first word in this command is “Remember.” “Why did He start this command out with “Remember,”” I wondered. Our Father could have just said “Keep The Sabbath” and been done with it. Well, now I believe I know the answer to that question. He told us to “Remember” The Sabbath because... He knew we would forget. Many will say “well, we now keep Sabbath on Sunday because that is when He rose from the grave,” but who are we to change what God has done? Something to notice about that statement is this: Yeshua was resting on Saturday, The Seventh Day. He was following His Father’s Instruction because He Is, Was, and Always Will Be... Perfect & Sinless. Jesus never breaks commandments. What did He do on Sunday? He Rose... and started working. I pray each and every one of you searches this out. Share in Our Father’s Sabbath Blessing that so many are discovering and sharing around the world. I now know many Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and many other denomination leaders who are keeping Our Father’s Sabbath and then attending their congregation on Sunday, and their relationship is growing immensely with Our Father In Heaven. Here is just one of many many resources that can help you search out The Scriptures about this subject: https://www.sabbathtruth.com/ If you would like any more resources, or would like to know more about how to “Keep The Sabbath,” please never hesitate to send me a message. May Our Father and Savior bless each an every one of you on the other side of this screen, and I pray you have a most blessed week. Shalom (Divine Peace/Completeness) to you my Brothers and Sisters! “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
