Good Morning Sacred Sabbath...
Father, Your COMMANDMENTS are a Lamp to our feet. Help us to live aware, to choose wisely, to stay close to You, and anchored in Your Truth! Thank You for Your GREAT LOVE and MERCY. Thank You that You Wait For Us and You STRENGTHen Us. We come to You today, choosing to walk in Your Presence, Instruction, AND LIGHT. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray. Amen! A New Yearly Tradition: It’s that time again. What time? Time to remember. Our Father’s Word tells us to not only “Remember” what He instructs for us, but also how His Instructions (Commandments) are to “Be A Light” and a constant source of protection for us, IF we but listen and “hear.” With 2022 holding no few surprises, and prophecy unfolding faster than ever, I thought to myself a couple of years back: “How can we end each year and begin the next one (civil calendar) in the best manner possible?” Then it hit me. “How Obvious?!,” I thought. What better way to finish one year and begin the next than for us to “Remember” Our Light, Blessing, Instruction, and The One Thing That Sets Us Apart From Every Other Group In The World... Our Father’s Perfect Instruction, and Our Savior’s Perfect Walk... THE WORD OF GOD ALMIGHTY. 2023 Is Going To Be Another BIG Year For The Children of The Most High!: Going through these current exciting, stressful, prophetic seasons, it can be easy to lose sight of Who We Are Suppose To Be Listening To, And How We Are Suppose To Be Acting. With advertisements accosting us in every direction and every business in the world vying for our attention, it can be easier than we like to get caught in the hustle and bustle of this world. But, if we “remember” what Our Father and Savior Instructs for us, repent of the places and things we have we have sinned against Him in, and refocus our attention on where it should always be, 2023 can be the biggest blessing yet. Repenting of where we have gone “off the path,” listening to Our Father and Savior, and “fulfilling” that which He Instructs Us To Do, well, there really is no better way of setting ourselves up for success as we head into 2023. So, without further ado, may we all, as we close out this year, season, and journey of 2022, look to Our Father In Heaven and Our Mighty Savior and... Remember His Instructions. After all, as Yeshua, Jesus Christ Himself tells us, His Commandments are what all The Torah (Instructions/Law) and the prophets hang on. So, let’s “hang out” with Him, Yeshua, Jesus Christ, The Holy One of Israel and The Mighty King of Glory. Happy Sabbath and Shabbat Shalom My Brothers and Sisters! I Love You All So Very Much, and... Our Father and Savior Love You MORE! Let us not forget our Holy Sabbath which Our Father and Savior has made for us. May Our Father and Savior’s Sabbath Grace, Peace, and Love be upon each and every one of you on the other side of this screen. Yahweh Yeshua Ha’Mashiach Bless you and your households… ABUNDANTLY! “My son, keep your Father's [God-given] commandment and forsake not The Law of [God] your mother [taught you]. [Eph. 6:1-3.] Bind them continually upon your heart and tie them about your neck. [Prov. 3:3; 7:3.] When you go, they [the words of your parents' God] shall lead you; when you sleep, they shall keep you; and when you waken, they shall talk with you. For the commandment is a lamp, and the whole teaching [of the law] is light, and reproofs of discipline are the way of life, [Ps. 19:8; 119:105.]” Proverbs 6:20-23 AMPC “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you listen to The Commandments (Instructions) of Yahweh Your God, which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not listen to The Commandments (Instructions) of Yahweh Your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you today, to go after other gods, which you have not known.” Deuteronomy 11:26-28 WEB - A Ten Commandment Countdown To 2023 - Command (Instruction) #10 - Being Content With The Hand We Are Dealt Instruction: “‘And you shall not covet the wife of your neighbor, and you shall not crave the house of your neighbor, his field or his slave or his slave woman or his ox and his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.’” Deuteronomy 5:21 LEB In many ways we can see coveting is a "root sin" or a sin that can be a doorway to other sins. If we ask the question: Why would anyone commit adultery? No doubt the answer would be that it is because that person has coveted their neighbor's wife. And if we ask the question: Why would anyone steal? The answer would be because that person has coveted their neighbor's "things" or possessions. Such "things" could be cars, houses, electronic gadgets, animals, and a myriad of other possessions. The draw or desire to "beautiful" or "attractive things" is an ever present temptation in our fallen world full of opportunistic advertising that seeks to profit on these desires of our hearts for monetary gain. One only needs to look at the advertiser satan in The Garden with Eve, or Abraham's neighbor and nephew Lot with Sodom in The Bible, and we find examples of our ancestors dealing with this same issue. Our ancestors failed in these instances, but Our Kind Father has given these examples to us in His Word, to help us to overcome these same desires, and to recognize these sins when they well up inside us. When we take notice of something our neighbor has or a cool new product advertised that we don't have, we should ask ourselves: Do we have to have it? The Giving of Thanks: The fact is, we wouldn't have the need or desire to covet these "things" if we learn how to put our trust and belief in Our Father and Our Savior Yeshua, Jesus Christ. Our God has provided for us everything we need and He gives us an invitation to ask Him for the things we need, and to Trust Him to provide them, instead of coveting from the world or our neighbor. Let us give God Our Father our thanks that He has given us Our Daily Bread in His Ever Merciful, Kind, Loving, and Bountiful Provision. Confession: For this, our confessions purposes, it is prudent to ask ourselves: How strong is our desire for "things?" Let us confess to Our Father any absence of trust in Him from which these desires might grow. Let us ask ourselves: Am I trusting that God will give me what I need? Am I filled with a desire for something my neighbor has? In The Word of God we see coveting being connected to idolatry (Ephesians 5:5). We can see where this is bringing us all the way back to the beginning of The Ten Commandments. Let us now confess any idolatry, desires for things we don't need, or covetousness that may be infecting our walk with God and our lives. Let us take a final moment to confess any ways we may have "raised up" any material things above The One who was Raised Up For Us. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You are All-Efficient, All-Sufficient, and All-Powerful. We ask that you help us to bring our hearts to repentance and have our hearts covet after nothing except a closer walk with Thee. You Alone are to be The Ruler of Our Hearts and Desires. Help us to know and act in accordance with the fact that You Alone are to be our desire, and that nothing in heaven or on earth can compare. Please make this true in our lives Abba (Father). You are our King. We Love You, We Thank You, We Praise You, and in Our Savior's Mighty Name, whom You Sent for us, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Jesus Christ, we fervently pray. Amen.
