Good Morning Peace-Restoring-Savior-Sabbath...
Father Thank You for Your REST. Thank You for Your Day. Help us to “see” You in all things, the challenges and the triumphs. Please give us PEACE ON THIS Your SABBATH DAY. IN YESHUA Ha'Mashiach, JESUS CHRIST OUR MIGHTY MESSIAH’s Name we pray. AMEN. - An Exercise In Connecting With God Our Father & Savior: Finding Peace #5 Step 1 - Prayer (Begin With Focus And Openness Towards God) Prayer: Dear Father God, please connect with us here as we seek in Your Word. Help us to find Your Peace. Be with us. Thank You. In Yeshua, Jesus's Name we pray. Amen Step 2 - Read Read The Scripture slowly. Be aware of any interesting words, phrases, or sentences. Read over The Scripture a second time. Read: “that The Righteous Requirement of The Law (Instructions) might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to The Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to The Spirit, the things of The Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is Life and PEACE. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to The Law (Instructions) of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in The Spirit, if indeed The Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have The Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but The Spirit is Life because of righteousness. But if The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give Life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Romans 8:4-11 Step 3 - Reflect Reflect on what stands out to you as you read. What is God Our Father and Savior is trying to tell you? Step 4 - Respond Respond to The Word you just read. Talk to Your Father and Savior about how you feel. Tell Him what is on your mind. Tell Him what is on your heart. As you go through your day today keep your eyes open to what you read, uncovered, or spoke to God about. You may find Him showing up in places you didn't expect. God Bless Everyone. May The God Of All Good Things Give each and every one of you, and your households, PEACE. Grace and Shalom (Peace/Completeness/Wholeness) to you all on this Peace-Restoring-Savior’s-Sabbath! AHAVA V’SHALOM MISHPOCHA! (LOVE AND PEACE MY FAMILY!) Our Father’s Amazing Psalms (Part 4): Praise, Prophecy, and Painting A Picture of The King2/17/2023 Good Morning Faithful Father Friday...
Father thank You for this NEW DAY. Thank You for giving us Brothers and Sisters to share in this WONDERFUL JOURNEY back to You. Please use us to help the hurting, the sick, the fatherless, and the weak. Help us to show YOUR LOVE in this dark world, because we know Love COVERS a multitude of SINS. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray. AMEN! - Our Father’s Amazing Psalms (Part 4): Praise, Prophecy, and Painting A Picture of The King The various authors of Psalms, David, Solomon, Ethan, and others knew a little something about Praise, Prophecy, and Our Savior Aka The King. These authors knew how to give proper worship and credit to Our Father and Our Savior in an unbelievably beautiful way. Of course we know how, and why, they did this... they were servants of The Most High God. It surprises me when I hear people say that Our Savior isn't found in The Old Testament. It surprises me because the entire Bible is chock full of Yeshua, Jesus Christ, and now that this is known to me, I don't know how I could have ever missed it... or anyone else who is actually reading it. While many consider Psalms just to be a "hymnbook," I would prepose that there is so much more there than just hymns. I would propose that the Psalms are absolutely filled with Praise, Prophecy, and Painting A Picture Of Our King. Today let's take a look at a few Psalms, particularly 2,4, and 5. Take your time reading them and see if you can spot when they are talking about Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our Savior. Keep your eyes open for the beautiful Praise of God Our Father and the beautiful Praise of God The Son. Be aware of Prophecy when it is present, and take note of when The Scriptures are Painting A Picture of Our King. If we take the time to study the Psalms closely, I believe we will all see something new to us, something Alive in the words of David and the other authors, and something that we can hang on to for Dear Life... Yeshua, Jesus Christ Himself! 🙌🔥🎯 God Bless Everybody and have a Great-God-Almighty-Faithful-Father-Friday! The Word of God: Praise, Prophecy, and Painting A Picture of The King: Psalms: “Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” He Who Sits In The Heavens Shall Laugh; The Lord (YHWH) shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His Wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King On My Holy Hill of Zion.” “I will declare the decree: The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your Inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your Possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss The Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His Wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” Psalms 2:1-12 “Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn My Glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah But know that The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) has set apart for Himself Him who is godly; The LORD (YHWH) will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer The Sacrifices of Righteousness, And put your trust in The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh). There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), lift up The Light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), make Me dwell in safety.” Psalms 4:1-8 “Give ear to my words, O LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), Consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD (YHWH, Yahweh); In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up. For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You. The boastful shall not stand in Your Sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD (YHWH, Yahweh) abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into Your House in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your Holy Temple. Lead me, O LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), in Your Righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your Way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is destruction; Their throat is an open tomb; They flatter with their tongue. Pronounce them guilty, O God! Let them fall by their own counsels; Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions, For they have rebelled against You. But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who Love Your Name Be joyful in You. For You, O LORD (YHWH, Yahweh), will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.” Psalms 5:1-12 Please leave any questions, comments, insights, Biblical Nuggets, encouragement, prayer requests, or thoughts in the comments below. Good Morning God’s Perfect Devotion Thursday…
FATHER, YOU FIGHT FOR US before we even know we are in a battle. And YOU PROTECT US before we are aware that we need protection. But even still, YOU INVITE US TO MAKE our REQUEST known to you, BECAUSE YOU LOVE to hear from US. HALLELUYAH! THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU ABBA for caring about every area of our lives! Today, HELP US TO TRUST YOU, AND EXPERIENCE YOUR LOVE, TEACHING, WISDOM, GRACE, AND LOVE TODAY! IN YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray to You Our Mighty Father. AMEN! Yesterday was a wonderfully, wildly busy day. This servant was blessed to have some amazing conversations and sharing of The Word and Truth with others. It was encouraging, useful, exciting, and full of Our Mighty Father’s Love. These wonderful conversations and experiences left me scrambling to find just the right devotion for today, and what do you know… I didn’t find it. That “perfect” devotion that would touch on all the conversations and experiences of yesterday was slipping my grasp. There was just too much to cover. Then this servant realized something very important and everything changed. “I” was trying to find the perfect devotion. Our Father’s Devotion is what I was really searching for. His Devotion Is Unfailing, Undeniable, Perfect, Merciful, Kind, Compassionate, “Filled To Overflowing” With Grace, and “covers all the subjects.” So, this servant stepped back, prayed, asked Our Father where to go, and then felt wildly silly when the answer came. Where could Our Father’s Devotion most clearly be seen, which covers every subject we need, and guides us with knowledge, understanding, wisdom, grace, gentleness, instruction and Love? His Word of course, right? Yes, but even more specifically He showed this servant, once again… His Salvation, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, The King, The Teacher, The Devotion of God Our Mighty Father Himself. Perfect, that all this servant can say… Perfect. BEHOLD!!! YESHUA SPEAKS! 😎👑🔥🍞🙌💪🏻💡 - Yeshua Speaks: The Red Letter Words (Part 1) Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our Savior, didn't always say the things everyone wanted to hear. In fact, the majority turned from what He said the moment they thought they might have to "give up" something. Unfortunately, too few know how much we truly get in return when we “hear” The Word. What Our Messiah tells us is necessary. What He tells us is sometimes downright uncomfortable IF we don't understand what He is saying and IF we aren't listening. There is always a Greater Message With Jesus. There is always Growth and Shalom (Peace) in Our Savior's words if we "hear" what He is saying. This makes putting His Word into practice much more simple and without burden. As we look at The Scriptures today, let us dig in and try to truly understand what The Savior of The Whole World is speaking to us. There is a group message for all of us, and there is also a personal message for each one of us. May we all open our hearts and minds and take a deeper look at the words Our Savior Speaks. These Scriptures are,"The Red Letter Words,” and that is to identify that The King, Yeshua, Is Speaking. What is He Saying to you? Yeshua, Jesus Christ Our King, said: “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But Love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be Sons of The Most High. For He Is Kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” And He Spoke a parable to them: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch? A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye. “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My Sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on The Rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on The Rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:27-49 Please leave any questions, comments, insights, Biblical Nuggets, encouragement, prayer requests, or thoughts in the comments below. Good Morning Word of God Wednesday...
Father Thank You for this NEW DAY. We have GRATEFUL HEARTS for all You Do. Thank You for the extraordinary gifts in our lives and The EXTRAORDINARY LOVE you share with us in YOUR WORD FATHER. Lead us away from false prophets, strengthen us to endure trials, and lead us toward YOUR NARROW GATE. In praise, we pray in YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's Name. Amen! - Our Father’s Amazing Psalms (Part 3) Have you ever felt like a failure? We all have, right? We have all had our struggles, personal conflicts, rejections, hard, unsuccessful work, and many other things that fight against our Christian Confidence. We want to be “Lights,” Flames of God Almighty (El Shaddai), but when we don’t feel good about ourselves, we can feel more like a flicker. Inevitably, we will all venture through a season when we don’t feel “sufficient” to be the people Our Father has called us to be. Inevitably we will all, at some point, feel like a failure, a reject, or just plain old insignificant. It is extremely important for us as believers in El Elyon (The God Most High) and Yeshua, Jesus Christ, in these moments, to hear The Beautiful Voice of Our Father In Heaven. Other voices, such as the enemy’s, will try to kick us while we are down and magnify the problem. This is why we discipline ourselves to always stay focused on The Truth AKA God’s Word, so if and when we have these moments... they are short lived. One of The Greatest Truths in God’s Word is how He tells us who we are, and how He feels about us. Psalm 139 is a wonderful place for us to hear this Truth. He tells us: 1.) I Know You 139:1-6 2.) I Am With You Always 139:7-12 3.) I Mindfully And Wonderfully Made You 139:13-16 4.) I Have A Plan For You 139:16-18 The point is this: You Matter To God Our Father More Than You Could Ever Even Imagine. Through His Servant David, Our Father wanted us to know just how important we are to Him. In Psalm 139 David penned some of the most beautiful and eternal Truth about who we are, and what El Olam (The Everlasting God), Our Father, wanted us to know. Next time you are feeling insufficient, down, like a failure, or you are questioning yourself, turn to Psalm 139 and just read how much The God Of All Creation Loves You. Make no mistake, He Is Speaking To You. Hear His Voice, Know That You Matter Very Much To Him, and realize that You Are Precious To The One Who Created You... Before You Were Even Knit Together In Your Mother’s Womb! Our Father’s Amazing Psalm 139: “Yahweh, You have searched me, and You know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, You know it altogether. You hem me in behind and before. You laid Your Hand on me. This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it. Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your Presence? If I ascend up into heaven, You are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there! If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there Your Hand will lead me, and Your Right Hand will hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me; the light around me will be night”; even the darkness doesn’t hide from You, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to You. For You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from You, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In Your Book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious to me are Your Thoughts, God! How vast is their sum! If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with You. If only You, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men! For they speak against You wickedly. Your enemies take Your Name in vain. Yahweh, don’t I hate those who hate You? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies. Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in The Everlasting Way.” Psalms 139:1-24 WEB Please leave any questions, comments, insights, Biblical Nuggets, encouragement, prayer requests, or thoughts in the comments below. Good Morning Torah Made Flesh Tuesday...
Father thank You for this NEW DAY. We THANK YOU for continuing YOUR GOOD WORKS yesterday, today, and forevermore. May we continually have Your PEACE, which guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). We thank You for Your Salvation YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST, and being OUR GOD! In Yeshua, Jesus Christ’s Mighty and Peace-Giving Name we pray. Amen! - An Exercise In Connecting With God Our Father & Savior: Finding Peace #4 Step 1 - Prayer (Begin With Focus And Openness Towards God) Prayer: Dear Father God, please connect with us here as we seek in Your Word. Help us to find Your Peace. Be with us. Thank You. In Yeshua, Jesus's Name we pray. Amen Step 2 - Read Read The Scripture slowly. Be aware of any interesting words, phrases, or sentences. Read over The Scripture a second time. Read: “And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His Mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are The Poor In Spirit, For theirs is The Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are The Meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are The Merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are The Pure In Heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are The Peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is The Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 5:1-10 Step 3 - Reflect Reflect on what stands out to you as you read. What is God Our Father and Savior is trying to tell you? Step 4 - Respond Respond to The Word you just read. Talk to Your Father and Savior about how you feel. Tell Him what is on your mind. Thank you Father for this NEW DAY! Today,“(we will) TRUST in You Father with all (our) hearts and lean not on (our) own understanding; in all (our) ways (we will) acknowledge (You), and (You) shall DIRECT (our) paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). May we CHOOSE to follow OUR FATHER AND Savior in Faith today! In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST's Name. Amen! - Our Father’s Amazing Psalms (Part 2) Among the many offices that David filled while here on this earth, remember David is a “picture” of Jesus, one office was prophet. A prophet is an individual whom God Our Father communicates His Purposes and gives unique understanding in His Word, His Thoughts, His Will, and the future events that shall come to pass. Did you know that The Book of Psalms is the one of the two most quoted books in The New Testament? With over 400 quotes and at least 300 allusions to prophecies concerning our Messiah, Yahushua, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, or as most all of us learned His Name, Jesus Christ. That is quite amazing when we think about it, and even more amazing, most, if not all, have been fulfilled. When we stop to think about these prophecies being written over a thousand years before Our King and Savior even showed up on the scene (in the flesh) it becomes clearly apparent that only God Our Father could have directed this fulfillment to come true. Many places in The New Testament we are told, that it was indeed Our Father’s Ruach Ha’Kodesh (The Holy Breath of God), or Holy Spirit, that wrote these prophecies through His servants. It was not thought up by a human mind, and indeed when we begin to study these prophecies, it is clear that this would be entirely impossible for man alone. Think about it, how could David have written this amazing piece of prophecy about Our Saving King a thousand years before He Came to fulfill it. He couldn’t, but with the help of Our Father, His Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ, better known collectively as God, all things are possible (Mark 10:27). 2, 22, or 222 in The Bible signifies The Love of God for us, His Children. The Bible itself is in fact a Love Letter from God to us. He has never left us to wonder if He would defend, keep, watch over, and guide us along The Way. Our Father’s Promises have always been contained for us in His Word, and are replete from cover to cover. Today we look at Psalm 22. David wrote about Our Savior a thousand years before His birth. David, through God Almighty (El Shaddai), describes Our Saviors attitude, sufferings, feelings, and pain during a period when the capital punishment of crucifixion did not even exist yet. This is prophecy at it clearest. Our Father Loved David, and using him, He gave us one of the most clearly understood, most magnificent pieces of His Love Letter so that we could truly know how much He Loves Us, thinks about us, and so that we could be sure of what He has accomplished for us. Today as we read Psalm 22, let us meditate on what God Put His Son Through, what He Went Through... for us. Let us meditate on the magnitude of Love it takes for a Father to allow for A Son to go through these things. Finally, let us meditate on how much He Loves Us to let us know the things that are to come so we can be sure, safe, at peace, and comforted no matter what we may be going through. God Loved David immensely, from God’s Word this much is clear. God was very interested in every part of David’s Life. One final thing for us to think about as we read through Our Father’s Word to us this morning is this: He Is Just As Interested In Each And Everyone of Our Lives As He Was David’s. That’s Humbling. What God Almighty, Our Father In Heaven, Has Foretold From Long Ago And Promised To Each And Every One Of Us... It Shall Certainly Come To Pass! The Word of The One True And Living God Almighty, To Us, His Children Whom He Loves With An Everlasting Love: Psalm 22 “My God, my God why have you forsaken Me? Why are you far from helping Me, far from the words of my groaning? O my God, I call by day and You do not answer, and by night but I have no rest. Yet You are Holy, Enthroned on The Praises of Israel. Our ancestors trusted You; they trusted and You Delivered them. They cried to You and were saved; they trusted You and were not ashamed. But I Am A Worm and not a man, scorned by humankind and despised by people. All who see Me mock Me. They open wide their lips; they shake the head, saying: “He trusts Yahweh. Let Him rescue Him. Let Him deliver Him because He delights in Him.” Yet you took Me from the belly; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts. On You I was cast from the womb. From My mother’s belly You have been My God. Do not be far from Me because trouble is near; because there is no helper. Many bulls have encircled Me; mighty bulls of Bashan have surrounded Me. They open their mouth against Me like a lion tearing and roaring. I Am poured out like water, and all My bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within Me. My strength is dry like a potsherd, and My tongue is sticking to My jaws; and you have placed Me in the dust of death. Because dogs have surrounded Me; a gang of evildoers has encircled Me. Like the lion they are at My Hands and My Feet. I can count all My Bones; they gaze, they look at Me. They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots. But you, O Yahweh, do not remain distant. O My Help, hasten to help Me. Rescue My Life from the sword, My only Life from the power of the dogs. Save Me from the mouth of the lion, and from the horns of the wild oxen answer Me. I will tell Your Name to My Brothers; inside the assembly I will praise You. You who revere Yahweh, praise Him! Glorify Him, all you seed of Jacob, and be in awe of Him, all you seed of Israel, because He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and has not hid His Face from Him; but He listened to Him when he cried for help. From You is My Praise. In the great assembly, I will pay My vows before those who revere Him. The afflicted will eat and will be satisfied. Those who seek Him will praise Yahweh. May Your heart live forever. All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to Yahweh. All the families of the nations will worship before You. Because The Kingship belongs to Yahweh, and He rules over the nations. All the healthy ones of the earth will eat and worship. Before Him all of those descending into the dust will kneel, even he who cannot keep his soul alive. Descendants will serve Him. Regarding The LORD, it will be told to the next generation. They will come and tell His Saving Deeds to a people yet to be born, that He Has Done It.” Psalms 22:1-31 LEB Please leave any questions, comments, insights, Biblical Nuggets, encouragement, prayer requests, or thoughts in the comments below. Good Morning Follow The Savior Sunday…
Father thank You for this NEW Day. Please grant us TRUTH, WISDOM, DISCERNMENT, UNDERSTANDING, and KNOWLEDGE, so that we may be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our MINDs and not be conformed to this world. In YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name. Amen. - Stop & Think: What Is It That You REALLY Want? When reading God’s Word it is not a difficult thing to recognize Our Messiah’s uncanny, Divine, and deep wisdom. His Words are sharp, full of authority, which we see many pointing out in Scripture, and His Choice of words, His language, are not only compassionate, but also peculiar and Divinely Interesting. Part of Our Savior’s peculiar language choice lies in the fact that He often asked questions that seem to be blatantly obvious to those seeking Him out. Let’s take a look at 4 examples of this in action: 1.) “The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus walking by, he said, “Look, The Lamb of God!” And when the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following. “What do you want?” He asked. They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are You staying?” John 1:35-38 BSB 2.) “Next, they came to Jericho. And as Jesus and His disciples were leaving Jericho with a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting beside the road. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Take courage!” they said. “Get up! He is calling for you.” Throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus. “What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “Rabboni,” said the blind man, “let me see again.” Mark 10:46-51 BSB 3.) “So Judas brought a band of soldiers and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees. They arrived at the garden carrying lanterns, torches, and weapons. Jesus, knowing all that was coming upon Him, stepped forward and asked them, “Whom are you seeking?” John 18:3-4 BSB 4.) “Then the disciples returned to their homes. But Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent down to look into the tomb, and she saw two angels in white sitting where The Body of Jesus had lain, one at The Head and the other at The Feet. “Woman, why are you weeping?” they asked. “Because they have taken my LORD away,” she said, “and I do not know where they have put Him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not recognize that it was Jesus. “Woman, why are you weeping?” Jesus asked. “Whom are you seeking?” Thinking He was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him off, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him.” John 20:10-15 BSB Obviously The Smartest and Wisest Man To Ever Walk The Face of The Earth knew clear and well the answer to His questions, heck… so can we when reading these Scriptures. This then begs the question: Why would He ask these questions with seemingly obvious and straight forward answers? The answer to this question: The same reason He came “in the flesh” at all, for us and for our benefit, obviously not for His, after all… He’s Perfect. Our King, Messiah, Teacher, Savior, Friend, Mentor, and Perfect Example was stating these questions so we would stop for a moment and think about what it is that we REALLY want. If anyone reading this is older than 14 years old, you have probably figured out that we as a people aren’t nearly as smart as we usually think ourselves to be. All one has to do is look around, read a newspaper, scroll through the news headlines online, or just watch an episode of “Cops” to figure out that “we the people” aren’t really that sophisticated at all. Pervasive throughout all societies, rich and poor, are masses of stubborn and self sabotaging men and women, including sometimes, whether we would like to admit it or not… ourselves. Poor exercise habits, poor eating habits, poor diets, poor attitudes, poor prayer life, all these things are detrimental to our health and Life and we know it, but every one of us has been guilty of them at some point. Stop & Think: How many times do you think Yeshua, Jesus Christ, The Creator, King, and Savior of The World said to people “Follow Me!”? How many of those people do you think listened? How many people do you think forgave when He said forgive? Repentance is literally the first thing Our Savior preached once He was baptized, how many do you think repented? How many of His friends, followers, or those around Him listened to what He said, watched Him perform countless miracles, and then just slide right back to there old, unrepentant lives after the curtains closed? Here is the question… What is Yeshua, Jesus Christ, The Savior of The Whole World asking YOU? Maybe He is asking us all obvious, straight forward questions… because we keep ignoring His obvious, straight forward answers. Shalom Mispocha (Family)! May each and everyone of you on the other side of this screen, and your entire households, have a Blessed and Great-God-Filled start to all your week! Ahava V’Shalom! (Love and Peace!) FATHER, YOUR COMMANDMENTS are a Lamp to our feet. HELP US TO LIVE AWARE, TO CHOOSE WISELY, to STAY CLOSE TO YOU, AND ANCHORED IN YOUR TRUTH! Thank You FOR YOUR GREAT LOVE AND MERCY. THANK YOU that You WAIT FOR US and You STRENGTHEN US. We come to You today, choosing to walk IN YOUR PRESENCE, INSTRUCTION, AND LIGHT. IN YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray. AMEN! A BIG Thank You to our late Brother In Yeshua, John Ritenbaugh, and berean.org for today’s devotion. - A Berean Breakdown: Exodus 31:17 - A Sign Forever "It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days The LORD (YHVH , Yahweh) made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed." Exodus 31:17 This special covenant—strategically placed by Moses between information on the building of the Tabernacle (a type of the church) and the Golden Calf incident (brazen idolatry)—creates a special sign of the Sabbath between God and His people. Generally, a sign identifies. It communicates the purpose of or gives directions to a person or place. Signs bring people together with shared interests and common goals. A sign can function as a pledge of mutual fidelity and commitment. Organizations use signs to designate membership, allowing members to recognize each other. The Sabbath serves as an external and visible bond that unites God's people, and at the same time it sanctifies them from almost everyone else. Almost everyone in the Western world keeps Sunday or nothing. By the Sabbath, the true covenant-keeper knows that God is sanctifying him. Anybody who has kept both Sunday and Sabbath knows this: Sunday sets no one apart from this world. If He created the Sabbath only because we need to rest physically, any old time would do, but ultimately, how and why we keep the Sabbath is what becomes the real sign. God is working out a purpose. He has invested a tremendous amount in us in the creation and in the death of His Son. The Sabbath serves as a major means by which He protects that investment. He made a specific period of time special so He can meet with His people and take major steps to make them different—Holy. ABBA, God of The Entire Universe, THANK YOU that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You have said that You will fight for us while we remain still, TRUSTING IN YOU alone. May WE SEE Your VICTORY in our lives. KEEP US MINDFUL that there is no power greater than You, and that when we cling to You and stay in Your Will … nothing standing against us can prosper. SHOW US YOUR FAVOR Father, soften our hearts, and LEAD US IN THE WAY. WE ASK these things IN YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’S MIGHTY NAME. AMEN! - Our Father and Savior’s Amazing Psalms (Part 1) Imagine a clear, dry night 3000 years ago in desert of Israel. No city lights to obscure the sight of the sky, and a wide-eyed David looking up at the stars in amazement. David was obviously humbled by the scene he was seeing. We can imagine a look of wonder on his face as he stared at the glory of what Our Father made. If you have ever been away from town and city lights, deep in the country and looked up at the stars, then you know what an amazing and humbling sight the night sky can be. In this respect, David was no different than you and I, he stared in amazement. We can only imagine this was the scene when David was inspired to write Psalm 8. With the twinkle of the stars glistening in his eyes, David wondered how an Amazing Creator who set the moon and every star in its place, who created something so beautiful, vast, and incredible, took the time to individually care for him... and all His People. Now that is even more humbling than the sight itself. It is said that if you took all the sand on all the beaches around the world and counted each grain, the number of the stars would be more than those grains of sand on every beach in all the world, in fact, they say the number of stars is 10 times that amount... wow. Now, we don’t have really any way of knowing that is true, but what we do know is true, is that Our Father, Our God, Our King, and Our Savior... can do anything. Nothing is impossible for Him Who Created All Things. With merely His Word, all things He Spoke into existence. Another humbling thought. Our Father has given us dignity, honor, glory, and amazing sights to wonder at seeing. He gave into our hands all things through Yeshua, Jesus Christ. He gave us authority over all the earth, all the animals, and all the fish of the sea. He gave us the likeness of His Image. He allows us to reflect His Glory. And, He has placed Eternal Life in our hearts. To Our Father In Heaven, we mean so much, that He Sent His Only Son to die and redeem us. It is truly amazing to think about how much He Loves Us to do such a thing! As we read through Psalm 8 this morning, let The Wonder of God fill your mind and your heart. His Love is so great for us... His Love is so great for YOU. The God of All Creation not only knew you would read this this morning, but also planned to be right there with you as you do. Now, fall into The Arms of Your Father, sit back, and wonder in amazement at His Word that He left for you to read, on this day, more than 3000 years ago. Have a Wonderful God Blessed week My Brothers and Sisters! May each and everyone of you on the other side of this screen be filled with The Grace, Peace, and Love of Our Mighty Father In Heaven and Our Mighty Master and Messiah Yeshua, Jesus Christ, The King Above All Kings. Shalom Shalom! Psalm 8: “Yahweh, our LORD, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth, who put Your Splendor above the heavens. From the mouth of children and infants You have founded strength on account of Your enemies, to silence the enemy and the avenger. When I look at Your Heavens, the work of Your Fingers, the moon and the stars which You set in place— what is a human being that You think of him? and a child of humankind that You care for him? And You made him a little lower than heavenly beings, and with glory and with majesty You crowned him. You make him over the works of Your Hands; all things You have placed under his feet: sheep and cattle, all of them, and also the wild animals of the field, the birds of the sky and the fish of the sea, everything that passes along the paths of seas. Yahweh, our LORD, how majestic is Your Name in all of the earth!” Psalms 8:1-9 LEB Please leave any questions, comments, insights, Biblical Nuggets, encouragement, prayer requests, or thoughts in the comments below. Good Morning Thirsty For The Word Thursday…
FATHER, YOU FIGHT FOR US before we even know we are in a battle. And YOU PROTECT US before we are aware that we need protection. But even still, YOU INVITE US TO MAKE our REQUEST known to you, BECAUSE YOU LOVE to hear from US. WOW! THANK YOU AND BLESS YOU ABBA for caring about every area of our lives. Today, HELP US TO TRUST YOU, AND EXPERIENCE YOUR PEACE TODAY! IN YESHUA, JESUS CHRIST’s Name we pray. AMEN! - An Exercise In Connecting With God Our Father & Savior: Finding Peace #3 Step 1 - Prayer (Begin With Focus And Openness Towards God) Prayer: Dear Father God, please connect with us here as we seek in Your Word. Help us to find Your Peace. Be with us. Thank You. In Yeshua, Jesus's Name we pray. Amen Step 2 - Read Read The Scripture slowly. Be aware of any interesting words, phrases, or sentences. Read over The Scripture a second Time. Read: “Rejoice in The LORD always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The LORD is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and THE PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and THE GOD OF PEACE WILL BE WITH YOU.” Philippians 4:4-9 Step 3 - Reflect Reflect on what stands out to you as you read. What is God trying to tell you? Step 4 - Respond Respond to The Word you just read. Talk to Your Father and Savior about how you feel. Tell Him what is on your mind. Tell Him what is on your heart. As you go through your day today keep your eyes open to what you read, uncovered, or spoke to God about. You may find Him showing up in places you didn't expect. God Bless Everyone. May The God Of All Good Things Give each and every one of you, and your households, PEACE. Grace and Shalom (Peace/Completeness/Wholeness) to you all on this Thirsty-For-The-Word-Thursday!
